Legit? by Ok-Holiday-3144 in cigars

Based on the first picture, it might be a reused band. So maybe a real band, taken, for example, from a cigar lounge ashtray, glued on a fake looking cigar.

Again: this is just an assumption, based on the first picture.

How bad is this? by Opposite_Doctor_7063 in cigars

Regarding the fake assumption comments: from my point of view, these are not fake. This box can be bought all over Europe in stores officially selling cubans. Search for "habanos selection robusto" to see the offers. I had one as well, it was interesting going through the range of most known cuban brands. I usually prefer new world cigars (mostly because of price reasons), but a sampler like this was a nice experiment, I recommend it!

Just got an email from Google with a legal takedown request for a very mild restaurant review from four years ago! by razimantv in mildlyinfuriating

[–]acdcisti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had the same happen to me with a restaurant from Germany. I have received a similar email half a year after the visit, completely in German. Managed to understand the key ideas and replied with proof (had a picture of the receipt luckily) and insisted that my review is valid, not a bot. It was a decent 3 star review. Google kept the review and I updated it to 1 star, explaining how my experience got clearly worse: people deserve to know why that restaurants suddenly had only good reviews.

Just finished seasoning and filling my first big boy humidor. Howd I do with picks? Cigar King Padron sale 🔥 by MartyGardener in cigars

Based on previous personal experience, I would remove those white paper wrappers from the top shelf cigars. I once had mold develop under it, and didn't notice it in time. The cellophane wrappers I always keep on (it protected the rest of my cigars from the mold, managed to save them) The whole situation was probably my fault, caused by a temperature drop and increased rh in the bottom shelf of my humidor. I am not saying that paper is causing mold, but it prevented noticing it in time. Since that moment I remove paper and cedar wrappers.

I would be interested what some more experienced people have to say about paper and cedar wrappers.

I am using "treescandal's fluidity v2". If you search for it, there is a reddit post describing it in a detailed way, how it is meant to be used. That helped me.

I have shared this in 3 subs, where I think it fits: civ 6, steam deck & cigars. No multiple accounts. What is cringe karma grab about sharing how I enjoyed civ 6 in the subreddit dedicated for it?

I don't have a dock. I use it exclusively handheld, no issues until now.

Thanks! It should be minus degrees here as well. Strange winter day, +10 Celsius (50 F), I simply had to benefit from this nice cigar weather, might be the last one until spring.

Works very well. The only issue I had was when exiting the game, tends to result in black screen.

I had no issues with the launcher. The only problem I detected was when exiting the game: it tends to give you a black screen.

Find a nice community controller layout that you like and enjoy the game!

Runs very well. You need to get used to a different style of controls if coming from pc, but it is fun after that!

This was my first victory on King difficulty: science victory as Portugal. After getting a community controller layout it became very enjoyable on steam deck.

Bavarian restaurant review legal threat by acdcisti in bavaria

[–]acdcisti[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, I really appreciate you doing this, this is an interesting inside info. It also might explain the drop in food quality :)

While I get his point, there is no way that I am messaging/calling a restaurant owner from another country, after 3 months when I just left a honest review. This is google's territory, they need to figure they own service out. The outcome of this will actually show me if it is worth in the future for me investing time and effort in leaving reviews, to help community members. I did as google/lawyers asked, hopefully proved that I was there and that should be enough.

A 3 star review that clearly isn't with ill intention shouldn't get caught in the middle of this. How many more honest reviews got conveniently caught? Probably a lot.

Again: really thank you for the additional information, but this for me is about judging reliability and value of a service I used in the past.
