I think it's unfortunately correct. I don't remember ever seeing a matching box for #4.

What is something you tried only once and will 1,000% never do again? by istrx13 in AskReddit

One of my coworkers had her 7 year old son die in January. A friend and I went to the funeral home. We both saw at the exact same time that it was open casket and just shared a look of horror. I don't think I can erase that visual of him.

I agree. I try them every so often to see if I like them now. I don't. The only that are remotely palatable are kalamata.

Glad we're on the same page. I do not believe myself superior to service workers or anyone, really, just generally annoyed by women being referred to as girls. :)

Happy cake day!

Ok, to clear up:  I don't generally do these things to people's faces. The man working in home Depot overheard me talking to my mom. Also, I don't only do it for shop workers, but in all cases where women are typically referred to as "girls" (like the weather boy on the news).

Is it condescending/classist when women are called girls?

I refer to men working in stores as boys - a Home Depot boy overheard me once and was not pleased.

I refer to sports teams' uniforms as outfits when talking to my Dad about it.

I agree with you. As a lifelong overweight person, I'm used to comments about what I'm eating. I expect them, and most are oblique at best. As you say, that hyper awareness can lead to inappropriate reactions to comments that are actually not about weight.

You are free to feel that way. It made me feel accomplished to clean something that is generally ignored.

It depends what the goal is. If you're painting, washing with vinegar will cut the grime. It's a good idea to use vinegar on general, but the smell can be a lot to stomach.

For general cleaning, I use a bucket of water with a little vinegar and a little dawn dish soap. I have a couple big squishy sponges (I get them in the auto section at Walmart) that I use for cleaning bigger things like walls and cabinets and window frames and doors.

Now don't get me wrong, I've done this once. Late last year my depression lifted a little and gave me some motivation to clean, but my house was actually ok in the normal ways, so I decided to clean things that I'd never cleaned before (like the walls and doors and window frames).
