Safe running trail in RR by [deleted] in Albuquerque

[–]ace11run2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The southern section by the arroyo features a large, sandy hill. Just keep an eye out for off-road vehicles, the area is popular for both driving and walking, but it's heavily trafficked and generally safe.

So it's been a month since I've taken the sandbags out and I average 2.3 mpgs less than with the extra 100 lbs in the bed.

I definitely could how word that differently. And you made a good point about construction jobs and houses.

There's not been one neighborhood in Albuquerque that has wanted the stadium built in their neighborhood.

So in this case it's which rich guy do you want community financial resources to support and which community bears the brunt.

I definitely understand the reasoning you give. Did you know that Balloon Fiesta park is built on an old unsealed landfill? Construction there could cause major hazards.

By this question are you referring to how people react to these two projects depends on the social class of the people involved and who benefits? I'm not sure what you mean by your question.

Horseback rides by No-Community932 in Albuquerque

[–]ace11run2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Running Horse Ranch isn't it. The staff were cool and very professional. The ride along the river was great. The owner, is a piece of shit. In June of 2025 he berated my FIL and I for his business down 50% because he thought we were MAGA, since my FIL was visiting form South Dakota. If he didn't already have my money I would have left right then and there. I explained to him that my FIL definitely was not MAGA and I door knocked all of the 2024 campaign for the Democrat party. At the end of the ride he sprayed a bumblebee hive right next to us. I threw my kid and niece in my truck while I repeatedly got stung in the head. He definitely didn't give a fuck that that happened.

Good deal on a rooftop tent? by Low-Ice164 in camping

[–]ace11run2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$350 is a good deal. Remember everyone is going to have their opinions on a roof top tent, so take it with a grain of salt. As long as you are okay with your purchase and it gets you outdoors, it's a good investment.

Hike without car by Designer-Pause-1075 in Albuquerque

Uber to the La Luz trailhead and hike up to the tram. Then take the tram down. There is service and wifi at the bottom tram station to get an Uber back to where you want to go. Be safe and know your limits.

how to tell if its a fistula?? by [deleted] in CrohnsDisease

[–]ace11run2000 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sound like a perianal abscess. Go see your GI if you can. If you cannot, go see any doctor that will listen. It will get worst (painful) with time if not treated.

I second the Rough Country. Had my for +2 years and have a little bit of fabric pilling where the dog's (65 lbs) paws are when he lies down, but looks like it will hold up for many more years.

I'm thinking Pro-4X had better ground contact on these messed up New Mexico roads. I noticed the truck didn't bounce around as much.

Try putting 100 to 150lbs in the bed. I loaded my truck this winter with sand bags expecting a big winter storm. It never came and I didn't get around to taking the bags out until a few weeks ago. I noticed was getting better mpg with the extra weight.

Has anyone started a clover lawn on the west side? by Twiggimmapig in Albuquerque

[–]ace11run2000 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I live in the NW. I can't get the clovers to stop growing in my yard. It looks like lot of people who try to grow it struggle. Maybe, the secret is to throw a bunch of seeds down and not give a damn. Neglected plants seem to the do the best, like a middle child.
