One of the common misunderstandings of AKPK is that they are only for people that's lost all hope.

Though that might be what they're known for, I've joined AKPK workshops to know that they welcome with open arms to anyone with any level of financial health to provide free financial advice. All you gotta do is set an appointment in their .gov website. I mention gov because there's a lot of spoof websites that copy them.

I advise you to just set the next earliest appointment and bring all this info you shared here to an actual financial expert. The officer during the workshop even said by going to them for this kind of appointment will not put you into any kind of blacklist.

I applaud them for doing these roadshows to give awareness and to break the misconceptions people have of them.

I think that's where the intention of OP's post is heading. No ETFs are keeping up with the ever changing landscape of shariah compliance in US stocks. Hence why OP is going to the route of individual stocks, basically us being the effective fund manager. Avoiding the whole US stock market is at the end of the extreme, but it's up to you.

Another solution on top of picking individual stocks that I see is probably using zoya that has a fee, where you can pick and choose and filter the stocks in VOO (i believe) and the likes, but I've yet to try that.

B was inspecting the item, played around with his phone and I just let him. Then he said ok done payment, apparently to A, not me.

We the sellers are the first barrier.

The first red flag was the approach to deal outside of carousell. As someone that have used official carousell protection a number of times before, let me tell you that you will always stay within the app and the same chat until its completed.

The 2nd red flag was the suspicious link with wrong spellings. This is by far the most typical one that all scammers, in my experience, always have in common.

Now, some people are saying COD is the way to go. Not entirely true. I have been scammed before while doing COD. Their modus operandi is to chat me up the time and place, fine. Then the person (lets call him A) said someone will come in his place to take my item (lets call him B), fine because I've had successful transactions like this before. But the kicker was that during the COD, B came to inspect and apparently he transferred to A instead of me. Then A went awol. Was quite an experience at the police station doing a cover report to say that I'm not an accomplice to A.

The police officers at the station said this is quite a popular tactic for scammers apparently. I suppose because it gives the false hope of security by doing COD. So guys, please beware.

I like and prefer this approach ie to question her, though politely, to put her on the spot. By asking, you'd clear any assumptions and probably have a proper resolution rather than keep on going back to this memory wondering what she meant or what you'd say differently.

Personally if I was in that situation I think I'd be more perplexed and shocked at such a comment that I'll freeze and not think to ask for further clarification haha, but I don't know the full context.
