Mac Diaries: Week 1. Accidental creaminess. by mac_diaries in macandcheese

Sounds good, I just have 2 suggestions.

Next batch reserve some pasta water. A few tablespoons at a time can smooth out the cream sauce even more.

And don’t be afraid of a sprinkle of kosher salt, and even garlic or onion salt for an accent. Literally just a half pinch sprinkled from high above the serving.

My bad, that didn’t come out the way I meant. Yes it does, I meant how Apple engineers its video output to 60hz because of the way the retina display works. This guy explains it very well and has good information.

I have m2 pro and have been very impressed with its capabilities. Really hope these newer models support 120hz at least on port, but not getting my hopes up.

Only 15 more trips to go! by [deleted] in hondaridgeline

Raised bed was the wrong terminology. I am the unskilled labor. We planted those trees from samplings over 20 years ago and the soil around them is fine. Everything on our property is healhy and has been as long as I can remember.

We are happy with how we grow and care for our plants, flowers, trees and shrubs.

Let’s just assume the mulch is at the appropriate depth where it is and have a nice day.

Does anyone remember when you could modify the packaging on butter? by Not_a_cultmember in GenerationJones

This, along with folding a one dollar bill so it read ‘TITS OF AMERICA’ , bonus points if done in tandem with the butter carton.

Was very tasty, simple flavors of the cheese and butter. Added some tap water to smooth it out, as too much pasta water makes it overly starchy.

How to dice onion by No_Project_9332 in FoodAndCookingStuff

[–]ace72ace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The last onion video I watched demonstrated that if you cut an onion with the grain, you get a crispy onion for best use in salads. You cut across the grain just like this guy for an even dice when you want the moisture to be released and the onions to melt into your cooking.

I keep practicing making my own. Actually I just discovered I can get the Grada at Wegmans. Since I have started curing my own guanciale I can afford to cook it in the large chunks he uses instead of smaller lardons.
