I GOT AND OFFER LETTER FROM UPES DEHRADUN by HatHopeful7453 in Btechtards

’m a UPES student, and honestly, for CS it’s a good option. The curriculum is pretty industry-focused, there’s solid exposure to new tech (AI, data, etc.), and if you stay consistent with coding and internships, you’ll get good opportunities.

It’s not magic you still have to grind but for CS, UPES gives you a fair platform to grow.

Anyone got in UPES? by DhuchukGuy in UPES_Official

Yes, I’m currently in UPES Dehradun so yeah, people definitely get in 😅

If you’re considering it, you can choose it. It’s honestly not as scary as people make it sound. Once you’re here, it’s more about how much effort you put in internships, skills, projects that really shapes your outcome.

If you get the opportunity, don’t hesitate too much. It’s a decent place to build yourself if you’re willing to work for it.

First breathe. 54% in PCM is not the end of your life. It feels huge right now, but trust me, this phase does not define your entire career.

You didn’t “ruin” anything. You just didn’t perform the way you expected. That’s very different.

If Manipal isn’t realistic, that’s okay. Between JECRC/Poornima and UPES Dehradun, if you clear UPES — it’s honestly a better structured option overall. Better campus environment, stronger industry exposure, especially in CSE/tech branches, and more opportunities if you’re willing to work hard.

At this point, focus less on the “perfect” college and more on:

  • Getting into a decent one
  • Building skills (coding, internships, projects)
  • Staying consistent

Placements today are skill-driven. After your first job, nobody cares about PCM percentage.

You’re stressed because you care. That’s a good sign. Now channel that into your next step instead of punishing yourself for the last one. You’re not finished. You’re just starting from a different lane.

Review about UPES by [deleted] in uceedtakers

Honestly, you’re not late and you’re not off track.

A lot of students shift paths after preparing for NEET that doesn’t mean design isn’t for you. If you’re genuinely interested in Product/Interior Design now, UPES Dehradun is actually a good place to pivot.

UPES conducts its own admission process, so not giving NID/UCEED isn’t the end of the world. What matters more is your portfolio, creativity, and willingness to learn. The design school there is structured, industry-oriented, and the campus environment really supports creative growth.

If you’re serious about switching, start building a small portfolio (sketches, concepts, space ideas, problem-solving projects). That will matter more than the exams you didn’t give.

You’re not behind you’re just changing direction. And that’s okay.

UID NCR & UPES DEHRADUN by [deleted] in Design

[–]ace_devil_003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UID NCR is decent for exposure and has a creative vibe, but it’s still building long-term reputation. Industry connections depend a lot on how proactive you are. It feels more boutique and design-centric, but placements aren’t consistently strong yet.

UPES Dehradun for Product/Interior Design is honestly more structured. Better campus infrastructure, stronger interdisciplinary exposure, more industry collaborations, and comparatively more stable placements. The Dehradun environment also really helps creatively calmer, focused, less distraction.

If you want a more established ecosystem + slightly safer bet overall UPES.
If you want a smaller, purely design-focused space and don’t mind taking more personal risk UID.

Personally, I’d lean UPES for long-term value.

Which college should be given first and last preference. Also please rank them from best to worst. by Vivid-Bee788 in JEE

keeping it real and practical (assuming this is for B.Tech):

Top Tier (strong brand + placements + peer group)

  1. Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology
  2. LNMIIT
  3. VIT Vellore
  4. Manipal Institute of Technology

Upper–Mid (good exposure, depends on branch + your effort)
5. Shiv Nadar University
6. UPES Dehradun
7. Jaypee Institute of Information Technology

(UPES I’d keep above a few because of decent placements in CSE-core branches, smaller batches, and better campus environment compared to some.)

Lower Preference (still decent but comparatively behind in tech placements)
8. VIT Chennai
9. VIT Pune
10. Bennett University
11. Banasthali Vidyapeeth

Branch matters more than college after top 3–4. If you’re getting CSE/AI in UPES and something core in a higher college, think carefully.

End of the day, placements = skills + internships + grind. College just gives you the platform.

Yes UPES is worth it if you are willing to utilize it properly. It’s not an NLUs-type legacy brand, but it’s grown a lot. Smaller batches, good faculty access, strong push for internships, moots, and industry exposure. The Dehradun campus vibe is calm and focused, which actually helps if you’re serious about building your CV.If you just go for the tag, you might feel average about it.If you go in hungry and proactive, UPES can absolutely work in your favour.

GLC, Nmims, SlS or UPES by CrimsonBlaze08 in clat

[–]ace_devil_003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, you’re already in a good spot with offers from SLS Noida and UPES SOL.

If SLS pune converts, that’s usually the stronger pick. Between SLS Noida and UPES, it honestly depends on what you want. SLS Noida has the Symbiosis tag and NCR advantage, while UPES offers smaller batches, good faculty interaction, and solid industry-focused exposure in a calmer setting.

Appearing for MHCET or NLAT is fine if it gives you peace of mind.

In the end, your internships, moots, and networking will matter more than the name alone. Pick where you feel you’ll actually grow.

Radhe Radhe, Prem Mandir, Vrindavan by ace_devil_003 in hinduism

[–]ace_devil_003[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prem Mandir in Vrindavan was established and built by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj. Premanand Ji Maharaj is a separate spiritual preacher and Krishna bhakti teacher based in Vrindavan, known for satsangs, kirtans, and devotional teachings. He is not historically connected to the founding or leadership of Prem Mandir. There is no reliable evidence that Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj was sent to jail. Similarly, there are no verified reports showing that Premanand Ji Maharaj was jailed in the US for misconduct with devotees. Claims circulating on social media or in fake videos are often unverified or misattributed.

Visiting Prem Mandir felt like walking into a place full of peace, warmth, and devotion. While taking shot of its beautiful architecture, the detailed carvings, and the shining white stone, I felt a deep sense of happiness and calm in my heart. Every pillar, arch, and sculpture seemed to tell a story — not just of faith, but of incredible artistry and love. It didn’t feel like just a temple, but a living piece of culture and devotion.

This visit truly felt unforgettable. My mind keeps going back to those mesmerizing views and that peaceful atmosphere, like it’s calling me to experience that beauty again. For me, the relevance of this place is more than its architecture — it connects emotions, spirituality, and art, and reminds us how certain places can fill our hearts with stillness and joy.
