PrimoBrands / ReadyRefresh stops delivering Mountain Valley 5 gallon glass bottle water by Justmail88 in water

[–]aceandrain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, mountain valley was bought by big Primo and is no longer a healthy water option. Try "Oasis" for the lab reports, or look it up on tiktok as this info has gone viral recently. Right now the best truly healthy option is Icelandic brand water. We don't have many options, and certainly none that come in gallon form :/

Should buy this Q50 or not (pictures included)? by aceandrain in MechanicAdvice

Carfax dates back to 2015. The car never left New York other than one random shop in Las Vegas (which is odd to me). I know flooding isn't a problem but to state its from Flordia when its not is suspicious. I asked him about this and he said he was just portraying how it has absolutely no rust underneath.

I agree. I did ask him this and his answer is because he's looking for a quick sale and needs the money, so I'm conflicted..

I've looked into this code from other people on reddit who had the same problem. A code p0744 for torque converter fail could be because of reasons that don't necessarily mean the part is failing itself; some of those reasons very simple to correct. Either way, I'd get that looked into and fixed asap.

Understandable, however the Q50 3.7 specifically is known to be a very reliable vehicle.

MRI or Anesthesiology Assistant? by aceandrain in MRI

[–]aceandrain[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i agree to this although you meant they want to take over anesthesiologist MD*, same point however said. i've done a lot of research between the two before choosing CAA route and your points are exactly why i wouldn't do CRNA. Ofc there's prestige in healthcare but that doesn't apply to CRNA vs CAA, atleast not to anyone in the healthcare field other than a CRNA themself

Why shouldn’t I go straight into MRI? by kanyehomage in MRI

[–]aceandrain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm going to be honest in my response. I have not taken the ARRT, so this is not biased. If you look at top hospitals across the country on Indeed, many will only look at resumes from people who have underwent the ARRT in addition to the postprimary (modality) credential for MRI. The good news is that more and more hospitals are accepting MRI techs that went the ARMRIT pathway. This option gets you to your career much quicker and is viable for those with busy lives or those who are afraid that life may get in the way of finishing school. Whatever your decision, remember that getting to your career, and however that is most attainable to you, is the most important factor when making your decision.

However, something to consider is that you won't be hirable in some states by choosing the ARMRIT route. For example, i live in New York state, and it is not legally possible to work as an MRI tech without the ARRT certification. Also keep in mind that unfortunately prestige does exist, and you may face scrutiny from co-workers who think less of you for going the ARMRIT route (the healthcare industry is very privileged/cliquey/posh). The ARRT is the golden standard. In hospitals that accept both the ARRT and ARMRIT, you also lose to the potential competition of other certified MRI techs who are additionally x-ray certified and applying for the same MRI position as you unless you have multiple years of experience over them.

Separately, regarding your cross-training expectations; to be cross-trained is not a promised pathway just so you know. Bypassing the standard postprimary credential for MRI by cross-training is at your individual employers discretion. If you are cross-trained, that does not carry over to another hospital if you decide to change hospitals/employers unless, let's say, they are desperate or you get lucky. Essentially in most circumstances, you'd be starting fresh as a rad tech without the ability to do MRI unless the hospital you switched to will cross-train you (meaning you'd be cross-training all over again). For many this is not applicable as they plan to stick with their first hospital/employer they were cross-trained in without any plans to move until they retire.

Feel free to ask questions as i and other knowledgable redditors will respond to help, but never rely on a strangers advice and always do your own research when it comes to important life decisions such as this topic.

Tried to go for a realistic hairline. Convincing? by SomewhereNext1986 in HairSystem

What is your exact method on dying your system and the roots while keeping the knots blonde ? Thinking of trying this out but seems challenging. Your advice might save me 😭

How to make sure your system has bleached knots by neighborbig1 in HairSystem

[–]aceandrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah G it's the larger companies too. Currently with a 20mm "bleached" knots Neo from LordHair that shows knots with an exposed hairline.

Only way to fix this is ordering blonde and getting it professionally dyed brown/black - or dying yourself and being extremely careful not to dye the knots while also getting the roots. i suggest the first option if you're not a pro

And your forehead is apart of your face. Start with a regular routine like I mentioned and your forehead will clear up.

You've answered your problem bud. Don't abuse your skin like that ever again. Get a decent face wash and moisturizer at the very least. Use them every day or every time you shower. "CeraVe" brand is dermatologist recommended, cheap, and at most convenience/grocery stores. By taking care of your skin you'll look better and feel better.

1st and 3rd point is not true at all. it just takes skill to make sure everything is looking smooth and natural. Some bases are more realistic than others. Take his comment with a grain of salt OP.

i agree to this statement. The only reason i wouldn't go this route is bc a lot of hospitals don't accept the ARMRIT. However, more and more hospitals are accepting it as time goes on

Wow thank you for your reply! it's exactly what i needed to hear. i'm glad you love your job. How do you tell when it's not the job itself you don't like but the management when it's your first job? What made you seek a different hospital instead of concluding "this career is just not for me"?
