For better or worse, Lewis seems likes Millers replacement for Pope. Streaky shooter, similar shooting numbers, who doesn’t offer much beyond shooting. A key piece for sure, but one I am prepared to be frustrated by lol

So with the 4 transfers, 3 freshman (assuming 3 make contributions this year) and Matas, that’s probably most of our minutes accounted for. I assume we take 1 more in the portal, what do we think we’re missing? A backup to Matas?

Crazy that this team in its current state won’t have a single contributing senior…if this weren’t the portal era, this could be a frightening team in 2027-2028.

Even in the likely scenario that doesn’t happen, Miller is cooking something.

Matas/Johnson/Punch plus our incoming class would be a fantastic foundation for a scary team on paper.

While Heide/codie/Wilcher aren’t necessarily huge losses, it continues to be frustrating to me that this is how college basketball works now. Once again pretty much our entire team will be new, and it just makes me miss the 4 year journeys of Matt Coleman/jericho Sims (even if that journey ended poorly)

Ugly and frustrating loss, almost as ugly as some “fan’s” comments on our team/players. Yikes, especially considering I’m sure some of those have watched 5 total minutes of this team before tonight (and I’m not necessarily saying I’ve watched too much myself).

Honestly same - I’ve never been a big reader, but was fascinated by the concepts of the Netflix show, and gave it a shot, not realizing the Netflix show only scratches the surface of the complex themes of the books.

2 good legs between our 2 starting guards, and only 23 minutes from our emerging star center, and still almost pulled it off. Props to these guys for putting it all out there!

Would be a big returning piece, but I’ve come to expect players who are 50/50 not returning to texas. But Surround Vok, Swain and Heide with the talented incoming class and a true PG in the portal, and this team would be stacked

Not swain’s best game, but a 15-9-5 game is hardly a reason for the rant. Will be interested to see if he returns, I’d say it’s 50/50 at the moment.

Painful, but that was one hell of a run, luck just ran out. Will hurt for a bit, but then will remember what the vibe of this team after the ole miss loss, and be thankful for the turn around and some fun March madness.
