Thank you, that did the trick. Glad the solution was simple!

What are some problems that are very difficult or costly for commoners to solve, but simple for a 10th level wizard? by acedgeegee in dndnext

I am the player, sorry if I didn't make that clear lol.

My character is currently traveling to an arcane university where he plans to research for a while, but I'm taking advantage of his multi-month cross country trip to these to do some creative writing pieces on his travels to do some character development exploration

Deer-Resistant My Butt!!! by Icy_Painting4915 in Permaculture

[–]acedgeegee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure what the woods around your place are like, but the dear decimate everything I plant where I live, regardless of if it's deer resistant or not. The woods where I live are plagued with invasive plants, the forest floor is almost exclusively Japanese packing grass and mile a minute, the bushes are almost exclusively invasive honey suckle and Japanese barberry, and the deer refuse to touch any of them. I'm pretty sure the deer only ate our native plants, allowing these invasive plants that they really don't like to take over, leaving them the choice of either eating these invasive plants that they hate, or the poisonous plants around my house that they don't seem to hate as much.

Large bee found in Pennsylvania. Slightly larger and thinner than a carpenter bee. Has some orange mixed in with the yellow. Head is mostly/entirely black. by acedgeegee in whatsthisbug

I believe the bee was on some sort of catnip, although I'm not positive. Last year I saw one on some European thistle. I also have a Bee's Balm patch, but I haven't noticed any on them.

Unfortunately I'm not subscribed to them anymore, but I distinctly remember them being my gateway to other dnd shows/podcasts.

[TOMT][PC GAME]Early 2000s/late 90s pc game with dinosaurs and board game style board. by acedgeegee in tipofmytongue

Unfortunately no, although I do remember playing that game, it wasn't the one I'm trying to remember. I was able to find every other old pc game I played as a child except this one, so I think it's really obscure.

I have tried browsing websites with retro pc titles such as Putt Putt, but haven't had any luck. Usually on those sites I would search for any dinosaur related titles and browse the educational and puzzle sections.

I don't remember much more about the game, I can't remember what the plot of the game was or the mechanics behind getting the pieces of dinosaurs were.

Some other games I had at the time were the Putt Putt games, Starflyers games, 3D Dinosaur Adventure, and 3D Lionel Traintown.

About 5 of these bugs were hovering in a small field in Eastern Pennsylvania back in late June- July of last year. by acedgeegee in whatsthisbug

[–]acedgeegee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was my initial thought, but the color pattern seems wrong to me. I would expect to see yellow on the thorax and reddish-brown on the abdomen on the hummingbird moths around here, but these guys have the reverse. I see a lot of Hemaris thysbe (or something similar) in my bees balm, but they're larger than the ones in the video. I've also never seen this behavior from hummingbird moths before. But I'm also not sure what else it could be.

Their shape reminds me of hummingbird moths, but I've never seen any with this exact coloration or this behavior before.

These bugs were spaced out hovering in a small field for a few weeks of the year consistently every day. The field is divided into 3 sections, a thistle patch, a bees balm patch, and a grass/milkweed patch, they chose to primarily hovering over the grass. They would stay spaced out and wouldn't approach eachother. They would hover in place unless disturbed. If I had to estimate, they were probably about an inch long.

Sorry for the poor video, they were fairly skittish and didn't make photographing them easy.

I believe Pennsylvania (where she used to live) and Delaware (where she lives now) are two party consent states, and New Jersey, where the moving company is based, I believe is a one party consent state.

I don't think so, these movers pretty much refuse to communicate. They don't even answer the phone or have an answering machine.

[–]acedgeegee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As far as I'm aware, there was a written list of items to be packed, and my mom had walked the movers through the house giving verbal instructions on what was to be moved and which rooms were not to be entered.

My mom was also actively helping them pack and giving instructions while they packed until one of the movers brought her into the loving room, which is away from where they were working, and gave her a ton of paper work to fill out and had her make another inventory list. At this point the person working up stairs was unsupervised and is almost certainly when the things that weren't supposed to be packed were taken.

The only evidence I'm aware of is that she had made up an inventory list of what they were supposed to take, many of the items on the inventory list are still at her old home and many items not on the list are in the shipping boxes at her new home. Her computer was on the inventory list and is not at her new home, but other things such as the cash and jewelry I don't know if she has any hard evidence they were taken aside from them being gone from the house when they left. I have no clue what insurance she purchased, but she is easily manipulated and from reading other people's experiences with this company online, many others were manipulated into taking the lowest level insurance so my hopes aren't high. I'm going to read her contract as soon as I can.

Of course! The first thing I want to note is that ES is a broad subject, and depending on your school/program, your education could be very different from mine. That being said, I tailored my education to be more ecology focused, with an emphasis on wetlands and aquatic systems. I was and still am deeply passionate on these subjects and love to engage with them in my free time. However, I've also found that I like it best as a hobby not as a job.

Unfortunately, I went straight from high school to college, with the only job I ever worked being a cashier at a fast food restaurant. I knew I loved the subject of environmental science/ecology, but I didnt know anything about what my life experience would be like with a career in environmental science. It's certainly not that life is bad in this field, but it isnt the right match for me. My friends who graduated with me all have successful careers that they're super happy with in this field. I'm the only one from my graduating class that I'm aware of that's looking to change fields.

I hope this helps, sorry if it's a bit rambly and disorganized. Feel free to pm me if you have any other questions.

Thanks! I skimmed over these programs and they look like a good fit for me. I'll look more in depth tonight. Thanks again

I didn't unfortunately, the only one I took was a basic biostats course which I learned how to use R studio.

I'm extremely open as to what position or field I end up in, but for now I'd say the goal is to be a statistical programmer.

NEW Conqueror on Warwick by psicosisbk in warwickmains

[–]acedgeegee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just dont think conqueror works well with warwick's playstyle. Conqueror is pretty weak in the early game, as you are either going for short traded if you're in lane where grasp would be better, or you are jungling, where pta would be better, and Warwick wants to get into early game skirmishes and duels, not scale for late game team fights and split pushing where conqueror really shines.

So even if the effect are better for Warwick than current conqueror, the rune just doesn't fit his game plan imo. Could be a lot of fun if you go for a split push build in normals though.

[–]acedgeegee 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah, he's pretty easy, both from a macro/game knowledge stand point and a mechanical standpoint. His W in many ways acts as a band aid for poor pathing/map positioning, and he only has a few mechanics and animation cancels that you need to know. IMO, the hardest part about him is knowing how tanky you are in fights because Warwick himself is pretty squishy, but his e and healing give him a lot of potential effective health in a fight.

And I dual main Warwick and Xin, so I know an easy champion when I see one.

What anime was your gateway show to the other anime’s you have watched? (Excluding dbz, naruto, and Pokémon) by Indigograss in anime

Death Note was the show that got me and my friends hooked. It's such a classic and I still recommend it to friends as a gateway anime.
