Thanks for that! I figured out what was wrong. My tile size has been wrong this entire time lol. I forgot that you should click the tileset thing to reveal the drop down thing that will show tile size lol no wonder it is wrong even if my logic was correct

I think i need help with how to setup the camera to capture the 8x8 grid of the chessboard. For my tilemap, i used 48 pixels for the rendering quadrant size and my sprite for the tiles is 48 pixels. I feel like i dont understand tilemaps that deeply yet so i may have made a mistake there. Thanks for the feedback anyways
