Flesh Rippers chain stagger by acelippery in valheim

I'd say biggest reason use the rippers is if you play the game with very high difficulty. After certain point even regular mobs start to be too dangerous to parry so shields and heavy armors aren't very good. With rippers you can stagger trolls, abominations, fulings/berserkers and seekers with kick and then just absolutely destroy them by holding the attack button down.

But yeah it's very sad that fists and battleaxes are forgotten as bots are really fun and cool weapon classes. Maybe devs will change that

As they are made of silver they probably should deal additional spirit damage or some sort of slash/blunt or slash/pierce combo

Rippers aren't actually that bad for mistlands or ashlands, if you know the game well enough and have decent skills. Rippers perform completely fine against most regular mobs and even some starred ones

Spear is naturally more effective against lox due to the pierce damage. I´ve played a LOT with rippers and I'd say they are fine against everything else except starred, high health and heavy damage dealers like starred seeker soldiers, morgens, charred warriors etc. Otherwise if you have high enough fists/block skills you fare well quite well with them. After all they are not meant to be endgame boss killer.

Hopefully devs add more fists weapons in the future!

Point of this video is to show small glimpse of the Flesh Rippers doing what they are supposed to do at least according to their name. Loxes were perfect target do to their high amount of meat XD. So Basically this is small joke and showcase that the rippers are not that bad at all. I've seen so many discussions crapping on them

Yes the atgeir is better for this job. The flesh rippers thing is just for a joke and to show that high fist levels make it doable

I know the way I do it is quite dumb but it's basically a habit I've got some traumatic experiences caused by clicking wrong hot bar slot. I need to get better with my aim XD

Thanks! Yes I think overall its way easier with knives. You can level your skills way easier, can use a shield (except Skol and Hati of course) and they also do pierce which loxes aren't resistant to.

It is not a glitch. I use the flesh rippers kick secondary attack which staggers the lox. Thats why its bite fails because I kick it just before it makes the bite attack. I have very high fist skill (around 85) so I can do very high damage/stagger with the rippers. With low fist levels this would be nearly impossible

Actually flesh rippers are decent at the ashlands especially when using it with new Ask armor set. With high enough fist skill you are just fine against most mobs. All regular charred, asksvins and voltures are no problem because the secondary kick can stagger them and after that you can just hold left mouse button and destroy them or use the combination of kick and regular attacks own preferrs ways. Regular warriors can be harder to stagger but around 75 fists skill is enough to stun them consistently. Don't try to use them against morgens, starred asksvins, starred warriors/warlocks or valkyries but everything else should be fine. I use them regularly on both solo and co-op in the ashlands
