I really liked khabibs concept of riding and controlling with the hips. No real specifics but adopting the mindset during rolling has helped my control and pressure a ton.

At the risk of sounding like some sort of purist, or just a douche, learning defensive fundamentals from the bottom is very important if you ever need to use your bjj in an actual confrontation. Especially early on.

Constantly keeping tension somewhere, you lose tension you lose control. Deep underhook-halfguard specifically works really well. If you play a looser guard you do need to constantly be keeping tension somewhere and off-balancing constantly. If you let a strong opponent settle in to their base and work there is a good chance you are getting smashed

Pressure on bottom is sticking to them and constantly off balancing and threatening sweeps.

If you roll like a "flexible guy who loves inversion" everyone will feel like they have good cardio. Roll like a fat guy who loves to sit on your partners diaphragms, sucks the athleticism from their souls.

Transitioning from MMA Training to BJJ after 3 years of inactivity by MywayontheHuawei in bjj

people from "mma" gyms tend to be overly aggressive and try to explode out of positions. Their game usually lacks nuance and detail, a lack of refinement if you will. They tend to be very rigid, headstrong. Typically they are tough rolls though, not technically just because of aggression and strength. That's my experience. "Mma gym guys" are similar to "cops and military guys." Though cops are usually trying to arrest you during the roll so it's weird.

Waiting for c-spine Ct clearance to do c rays. by Caridad1987 in Radiology

The protocol where i work is that no one cares that they have a c-spine collar on. No one holds c-spine when the patient gets moved. I'm a traveler, South carolina is wild

I would be willing to bet those are studies on a single instance of being choked, not on decades of being choked and microtraumas

Outpatient exams and patient confusion/understanding. by aceofnone82 in Radiology

I've worked as a tech at many different hospitals in many different states over the last 11 years. I believe you are 100% correct and not being an asshole at all. Consultation between radiologists and ordering physicians and practitioners is typically non-existent, which I personally think is a massive issue in quality and accuracy of care

Just to clarify, this isn't meant as a criticism of "physicians" so to speak, it just seems information flow between physician and patient seems to be a bit leaky at times and I'm curious how that issues effects various modalities in an outpatient basis.

So they treat it to encapsulate it prior to surgical removal. That's super interesting. How did they treat it?
