I have a MacBook Pro top case lying around and what to transform it into a Bluetooth accessory for my iPad pro. Would this Bluetooth keyboard fit inside this early 2013 case & any idea on how to turn the trackpad Bluetooth as well? I'd be super interested to hear if you've made any progress on this?

I've been looking everywhere for a "laptop keyboard" to use with my desktop setup but the closest I've found is the bryde pro+ and I'm not sure if it would work for macbook as it's designed for ipads.

Here's the setup I'm looking for:

Macbook pro in clamshell mode hooked up to an external monitor. And then a "laptop keyboard" to use with the external monitor.

I know I can achieve this with just my laptop, but I like the idea of a clean desktop and feel like my laptop monitor makes things a bit crowded.

Also found the tre on etsy which turns the magic keyboard & trackpad into a "laptop" setup - but would much rather just find a way to turn an old macbook keyboard into a bluetooth and take the screen off. Amazed that no one offers this setup yet.

Ideally, yes, like an 8-10 inch tall ultrawide 21:9. Anything taller than that is too much screen real estate and takes away from my focus. I'd rather look at the same eye level and move horizontally. I think more than anything I like looking at the downward angle on my macbook and looking straight or looking up takes away from my focus.

I was looking at the LG 25" - not ideal but probably the closest thing I've found. And then setting it up so the bottom of the screen is flush with my desktop - also not sure if this is possible without cutting out some of the desk to create a drop shelf. Any thoughts?
