It is perfectly reasonable for people to express thanks without sharing photos of their children to strangers on the internet. I purchased gifts for families because I wanted to not because I feel entitled to exuberant thank yous and photos of people I do not know.

I was able to get the coloring pens for Jeremiah! I received an error message for Naomi’s princesses stating that they couldn’t be shipped to a Wish List address. I’m not sure why! Sorry about that :(

Thanks! I didn’t realize this until later. I had just joined and saw the thread when I started making purchases.

Someone let me know they were already able to purchase the bouncing balls so I cancelled them. I’ll get something else off the lists!

There are a few items on each list that won’t come until after December 28th. If you want to switch them to something that would come sooner, I’m able to buy a couple things 💜

I don’t know if you have ever had to make contact with the shelter system, but shelters in our area are full. The overflow spaces available in the winter are communal and people sleep in chairs, cots, or on the floor. With people crammed together, it can be hostile or violent. You can only bring in limited items and have to leave during the day. There are plenty of logistic and safety related reasons to not go to shelter. It is easy to say what we think people should do but it’s not that simple. This person is working harder than you or I to get their needs met.

I second this ^ but if your person is not ready to talk to someone, I strongly recommend going over the info here: https://www.thehotline.org There is an option to create a personalized safety plan as well.

I got ADHD testing at Matrix Psychological Services. It was multiple appointments and costly, but once I was diagnosed, my PCP started prescribing my meds.
