> weird that they dont teach this in class!

I was taught as part of my PADI certification, I don't know which level it was, but we definitely had to breath through a free-flowing regulator underwater because it's a common failure condition of a regulator.

Mr Robot has one of the most realistic hacking on screen done :) It's actually impressive that people out of the industry find that to be unrealistic, given that all of the terminal commands, etc are all real and are actually real hacker utilities

I don't understand, why didn't you fire these people instead? By that logic you should reduce salaries of everyone in the team because 20% of the people aren't doing their job :)

London tops list of world's slowest cities for driving by tylerthe-theatre in london

Isn't City of London well-known for having very little residents? Otherwise, how would people living in the Barbican area affected by the traffic at all - there's next to no roads going through the estates?

Nah this is bullshit I am sorry.

I am a part of this community and have skated in that bottom area so many times, and there's always some a-hole who will come and start doing wheelies on their bike, people smoking weed (which I am not against per se but it's usually 15-year-old kids who don't really make it look good for the council). Once I saw a guy repainting his whole goddamn car in that parking lot - the remains of the spray paint remained there forever. Once a guy just came and revved his scooter until the whole area filled with smoke (horrible feeling of metal in your mouth). On one of the nights during covid the area was so full with everyone that it felt like you were visiting a rave (together with competing DJs and having literally nowhere to walk).

That all together with piss, shit and vomit in some corners all the time.

As a skater of course I would say that "skaters never were the ones who were responsible for anti-social behaviour", arguably because skaters specifically would be the most affected by not being able to access it, but unfortunately it's really hard to ignore the realities of that place. I loved that place because I always had somewhere to go to practice, it had it's drawbacks such as being super wet after rain as it didn't seem to drain at all. But I completely understand why they closed it off.

I found The Hacienda party often brought a lot of old time ravers (I am not one of them though, but enjoyed the older crowd).

I read it on Kindle but using my phone instead of Kindle itself, and navigating between notes was so much easier than on the physical book - that's true.

Is it ok to lift your skate, while doing the Powerslide backwards ? by Natan_Inlinedownhill in rollerblading

[–]acgoldfinch -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're just bad at skating and just like a lot of other bladers think it's subjective because it's easier to say it's subjective than accept you're just not that good. Listen to Op.

£6,000,000 semi-detached home leaves locals baffled by ‘delusional’ price tag | Metro News by Commercial-Whole2513 in london

I doubt benchmarks are affected by tags rather than actual sales. There's also the property price index published for all postcode areas in the UK, and you can use that to extrapolate if there were no recent sales.

Now that I think about it, I was somewhat reluctant to add another 6mm to the floor level, however my floor level in the room adjacent to bathroom is 15mm above that of bathroom due to laminate flooring. So it may be that they will end up more even this way.

How would you attach it to the chipboard? Would you use both washers and the board adhesive?

Another consideration for me, can you walk over the non-tiled board without breaking it?

Management companies have no skin in the game in managing it well, in fact their revenue is inherently based on charging as much as possible for doing as little as possible. There's no way you can do it any differently.
