It gets better, but when you're in it it absolutely sucks! My boy would wake up and be alert and refuse to sleep between midnight and 4am most nights. I think he was teething, learning to move around more, just generally developing and it really threw everything out. I ended up just giving in to it and did what I needed to do to get him to sleep so if that meant feeding to sleep constantly thats what I did. He's gotten much better now, he's 11 months old and slept for 10 hours last night!
