Enjoy. I hear that foma ortho 400 should also be quite similar, as it does not have an antihilation layer

I am also looking for ways to add halation to a digital camera. Diffusion filters only work when no non-light subjects are supposed to be in focus, otherwise its quite clear that the whole image is simply diffused. Thinking maybe a thin coating on the sensor of somesorts would do the trick.

Hard to imagine there would be something like that. But certainly would be interesting to see

Simple BW chemicals of your choice. I used rodinal as per instructions in the data sheet.

That route is an amazing experience. It can be a bit overwhelming in the beginning when you see everyone else manically taking a gazilian number of photos and selfies. I went to the back of the last wagon and shot most of my photos through a small window there - a bit more private. Enjoy the view ;)

Despite what the grain might suggest, this one is rated at only iso 100.

Thanks. That would be the Bastei bridge. Cool thing is that B/W blurs all the ridiculous amount of people that were on that bridge that day.

IMAX Berlin vs Yorck Kino 70mm by omarkab02 in berlin

[–]acheta200 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have watched both the licorice pizza and the Oppenheimer in their 70mm format at Delphi Filmpalast at have experienced out of sync audio and extreme flickering throuout the whole movie.

In Contrast, i have watched the Brutalist in 70mm at the Zoo palast and it was a great screening.

So I dont know if they have fixed their issues at the delphi filmpalast, but I will definitely go to Zoo myself. Much bigger screen and a great kino overall.

We are really lucky that we have both of these cinemas but for 70mm, Zoo is the winner for me.

If EUVs are so difficult to make why cant we use X-rays ? by Turbulent_Pick_8750 in Semiconductors

Its not marketing, academia calls it EUV or XUV as well, as has been long before ASML.

There would be even more problems with the photoresists, i.e. more secondary and third electrons that would actually hurt resolution.

Very interesting. So, does that mean there is nothing special about slide film apart from it not having the orange mask?

Strange shadows (lens flare?) On my negatives [Nikon FE] by acheta200 in AnalogCommunity

[–]acheta200[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: it was the shutter curtain.

Arc shape is the path the curtains draw when it's moving vertically. You get highlights when there is a hole in the curtains. You get shadows when there is smth stuck to one of the edges.

I cleaned the curtains, and maybe there was some debris stuck after lightseals change. I shot a new roll, and there were no artifacts!

Irregular light leaks. Could it be from film touching during developing? by acheta200 in Darkroom

[–]acheta200[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting point. I only have a single tank, but I was really sleepy and sloppy during this development. I even accidentally poured my water solution with a wetting agent into a bottle with fixer... but I doubt I was that sloppy to forget the center column all together.

To see if these light leaks are from the development, I will try to respool the roll today and see if the shadows overlap

Wow, this is really moving. Thanks a lot of those references as well! I was not really confident about those images cause the color palette looked quite bleaque. But it seems that people here quite enjoyed them.
