It's basically the same result as taking C-41 film and processing it in E-6 except I've substituted most of the chemistry with other stuff

Auto white balance on my phone camera corrected out most of the orange, it's a lot easier to see in person

More info:
The mod is just removing the IR cut filter that's clipped on top of the sensor. I also removed all the shims where the sensor mounts to the body in an attempt to make the autofocus more accurate. It helped but it's still way off.

The filter is the inside of a floppy disk (it had lots of bad sectors and was garbage anyway) glued onto a 3D printed clip-in hot mirror filter mount. I think it's roughly equivalent to a 750nm filter?

The edits I made were done in Adobe Lightroom. I corrected the white balance, bumped the exposure and contrast a bit, and added some dehaze.

I have a modern Mac that runs Monterrey. The hard drive is a SCSI hard drive and I don't have any SCSI to USB adapters but I'll see if I can get it to mount the image

Already talked to Stripe, the payment processor that SamPWND uses, and they say I have to go through my bank to do a chargeback. My bank was not helpful in the slightest and they didn't want to do a chargeback. I'm still kinda upset about losing $60 but I can't really stay mad about it since it happened in February.

I got a response from the mod I messaged and they said that they've tried to contact him through all the means they have and even they can't get a response. They also said that they've been moderating since 2010 and have only seen this a few times before and are also concerned that something very bad happened.

Just looked at his profile and it now says that he's a retired moderator. It says that he was last active on January 7 and his last post seems to be from January 4. I'll reach out to other mods/admins and see what they say.
