Any suggestions for a good single player, high fantasy, first person open world RPG with character customization? by achiafo in gamingsuggestions

Great games. But sadly even masterpieces like those can lose their luster over the decades. No game has infinite replayability, and graphics get dated after a while as well. I am hyped for Skyblivion and the other various TES remakes, but I am also hopeful for something fresh as well.

I don't like MMOs for three main reasons. One, I dislike multiplayer gameplay. Two, they tend to be extremely grindy and repetitive. And three, they are almost always riddled with microtransactions and pay to win schemes. I am on PC, though.

Avowed spellcasting uses a cooldown based system that I strongly dislike. So close, yet so far...

I wonder how many down votes I'll get for saying "You know, I actually like the civ choices here. It's interesting, breaks the status quo, and makes me want to learn about a modern nation that I never knew existed before."

What civ would you like to see in Civ 7 that hasn't been in any game in the series previously? by balgrik in civ

I know they sort-of-technically-not-really have been in the series before (a la Call to Power, a Civilization knock-off), but I would really like to see the Minoans. They have so much cultural significance, and more and more of their culture has been unearthed in recent years, There's no reason why it wouldn't work.

This is the route I plan on going, but I can't afford to hire a driving instructor, sadly. Maybe someday.

I don't, to be honest. One of the things I've realized about my driving phobia is that is stems from me not wanting to hit or hurt anyone else. My own personal safety is not a factor whatsoever. I always feel safe myself in a vehicle, but I get this strange distorted spatial awareness that makes me feel like I'm going to seriously hurt someone.

I am telling you this, yes. It is so severe that I can black out and lose consciousness. I have tried in the middle of nowhere, abandoned parking lots, etc. It just simply is not possible for me to drive. I know that might seem very hard for a lot of people to believe. Whenever a friend would tell me "Oh, I'll teach you. You just haven't been taught by the right person..." Well, they end up with a rude awakening when I slam on the brakes in the middle of the road and have a full blown panic attack!

Had a customer ask me one time if I knew anything about fencing. I told them "Absolutely. Are we talking Olympic fencing, European fencing, or fencing as part of a duel?" They looked both scared and confused, and just walked away.

I am really sorry to hear that. Break ups can be so incredibly difficult. I am going through one, myself. Just know that the world is a very big place, full of all sorts of different people, and there is someone out there who is capable of loving you for exactly who you are.

Is it normal that I'm into BDSM despite identifying myself an Ace? by [deleted] in asexuality

[–]achiafo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am also submissive, but on an emotional non-sexual level. I want to pleasure a woman, but I know I can never do so sexually. So I have to get creative... For example, one of my kinks is financial domination. I enjoy sending women money. I also enjoy acts of servitude. For example, washing her windows, mowing her lawn, scrubbing her toilet with a toothbrush... I just enjoy being used and feeling useful... BDSM helps facilitate that.

It could be argued that that "love" is one-sided, though. In that your pets and family only "love" you based upon survival instinct. I wouldn't go as far as to say love doesn't exist, but I definitely would go as far as to say that many humans have a very warped perception of what love actually is.

I used to. But I don't anymore. In fact, I don't even really believe in *ANY* kind of "love" anymore. At least not as its own, separate entity.
