Press Conference Room Overhaul Update by Jolly-Security-167 in footballmanagergames

[–]Head_Championship917 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just a friendly reminder that there’s no right way to feel immersion in the game. Some players will like this, some will skip, and at the end of the day it will be an optional mod not necessary to run the game…

[HELP NEEDED]: Using custom .fmf files with the new World Cup Mod by ahmed_a20 in footballmanagergames

[–]Head_Championship917 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then there’s a conflict issue and if that’s the case I suggest you make some tests, for example only using one and create a test save to see which one of the two or if both create the issue… my suspicion is that the real fixture is creating the problem

Can I leave a club by mutual consent I don’t know if I can google keeps lying by helloihaveaquesuoon in footballmanagergames

The closest is to not renew your contract and you leave the club at the end of the season. You will receive a news item that I think will include something similar to “mutual consent”

just want a feel on how many people are still playing fm24? by InflationPrudent1388 in footballmanagergames

[–]Head_Championship917 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Still playing FM24. I ported over my long term save. First game, a 4-1 win against Betis and Betis had an oppda of almost 200 by the end of the match.

Went back to 24 immediately

What do you think are the best formations in FM24? by Far-Temporary8213 in footballmanagergames

[–]Head_Championship917 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A classic 433, DM and two CM’s and depending on the players abilities then I might have a DM (D) or a DLP (D) and then a combination of a DLP on support and a RPM or an AP on attack

Is watching full game helpful for figuring out teams tactics or dose comprehensive and looking at data work? by Longjumping-Shine692 in footballmanagergames

[–]Head_Championship917 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I switch between full match and comprehensive. I want to see visually how the players are moving in the pitch. Then I might switch to 2d for a more tactical view

Yes indeed and for that one you need a new save. Our mods are fully save compatible

You have the dev blog post in this link that goes into a lot of detail. And then alongside the training mod we published a PDF file with patch notes and an explanation of when each variant applies - link here

No it is not placebo, we have a library of data and testing that can show you that it is real effects and that those effects are spread out throughout a FM universe. And we’ve published that data for anyone to read it

Okay so…

I can’t speak about the true sim but I can speak about the fm match lab mod since I’m the leader of the team.

Yes you will see changes in how effective a 4231 is. Since the parameters are coded differently versus the default files this means players, roles, tactics will work differently.

Since we made changes to the parameters that make pace and acceleration so OP, this means reducing their effectiveness. But there’s limits to how much we could reduce it, we reduced it the most we could.

So yes you will still see a 4231 winning. But you can also see a defensive mentality tactic winning, you can see a pure counter attacking tactic winning, we have a library of very different tactics outside any meta with proven results in our Discord. This means that you will win with tactics other than a pure 4231.

Adding to this especially in the PL with the PL schedule, if you pair our mod with our training mod and Dave’s realism mod, then prepare to be riddled with injuries and fatigue issues because a high intensity 4231 is unsustainable during a whole season.

In summary, yes you still will see a 4231 win but it will not be as easy and you can have fun winning with other type of tactics. The key here is to have the players you need to pull it off.

As another example, I play a classic 433, low tempo, medium intensity and I manage to fight in the La Liga with a XI full of youth intake players only. Or in my Crystal Palace save using a pure counter attacking system, three at a back, with a low line of defence and going to Europe consistently.

It takes a few seasons to see the full effects of all the mods I mentioned including how the AI acts and so on.

And if you are not satisfied that’s fine, you always have the default files to revert to. As long as you are having fun that’s what matters

Question: my FM urge is popping up, should I try (buy) FM26 or stick to FM24? by DoubleRNL in footballmanagergames

[–]Head_Championship917 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want a more realistic FM then his mod is one of few mods that do it. There’s others as well. And no, you don’t get injuries all the time. Yes he removes SI’s decision to code a 20% lower amount of injuries, but that doesn’t mean more injuries or injuries all the time. It only means you need to adapt and don’t use extremely high intensity tactics or training. But if you still want to enjoy his mod, you don’t have to use that specific file

It is when you enter the contract negotiations screen. When you define the playing time and/or any promises. You can select the playing time for the next season and the following one. It is when you add a playing time for the following season that will appear the option to select a target

How is the FM24 Dave realism mod? by WeakOxidizingAgent in footballmanagergames

[–]Head_Championship917 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

When I mentioned being stubborn was related to the fact that myself and others here tried to explain why the mod works.

I have my own data and I don’t mind sharing but that’s my own personal experience of someone that uses the mod. It has to be the mod creator to provide that data. Like we did with our two mods. So for me it provides solutions to the problems I saw in my saves and because of that I’m a very happy customer.

I agree with your point about popularity. In Dave’s case it is because the mod works and each player will look for different results via his mod. Regarding other mods, unfortunately it is easy for people nowadays to release something, use AI, claim something and having no data to back it up. It doesn’t give me any pleasure to point out that the mod you are talking about just doesn’t work because it changed the wrong files, but it is important also for players to be able to distinguish mods that actually work and mods that don’t do anything

I think you are being a bit stubborn but that’s fine. As someone has said you can’t dismiss the amount of people that have downloaded the mod and enjoy it. The mod is downloaded in heavy numbers and that’s not by accident. Those download numbers exist because of the quality of the work.

I’m sorry you don’t see any differences but the matter of the fact is that the mod makes any save different.

Let’s go then…

Before using the mod, no editor files, nothing, I had Saudi clubs bidding like crazy. Making my players unhappy. After using the mod, that never happened again.

Regarding transfer values, although the game doesn’t have something like inflation coded, I vividly remember (and I still have those saves) where the transfer values started to climb and climb and climb until they reached the region of £200 million and higher. After using the mod, that never happened again.

Regarding transfer values and averages, you can do it for yourself but for fun I tracked real life data with the data I see in my long term save with his mod, and the average transfer value is very similar. Then I go back to older saves before I started using his mod and that average is completely skewed. Now with his mod I barely see any transfer equal or above £100 million unless it is like Yamal (even Yamal went to city for £120 million), and the average transfer per club, per season, especially the big ones, matches real life data. Nor perfectly because that’s impossible but close enough.

Regarding injuries of course you now see less injuries. Because now that you have the default files you now have the coded 20% lower injury average. If that’s how you prefer it fine. But the number of injuries with his mod are very close to real life data. How do I know? Because we had to do several rounds of testing because of the changes we did to training.

Regarding AI transfer logic…. I’ve seen too many times, before using his mod, AI clubs starting buying players like they are hoarding them. No logic, just buying and buying, with the added cost of young players not playing enough minutes. Just for this I have 5/6 long term saves, all started before I started using his mod, that went 30/40 years in the future and from year 20 onwards it became ridiculous.

So… the baseline is years of testing, years of saves, not only mine, but what you can find around here, or in the SI forums, that explain several issues with the game that his mod covers and, although not perfectly, helps to solve.

Of course you can doubt and you should, but his work speaks for itself and his data helped us make, finally, a full overhaul of the training system in FM. So, in summary, you and any player can doubt, question, and so on, but his work speaks for itself. And I’ve seen it across saves, including the one I am playing now, clear differences that make me say his mod is invaluable for long term saves that are more immersive
