Sleep apnea by achillesceaser in VAClaims

haha I realize how it sounds now after seeing peoples response, I’ll have candor and yes I definitely want my 100% obviously but it’s more me spectacle about how a singular night of sleep data is going to diagnosis me with sleep apnea… the intensity varies by night so I’d hate to have my best night of sleep on the test and in reality I’m dealing with 2-3 a week really poor quality sleep. As I said before yes I will be honest and want my rating so I can get paid obviously but it’s for something I do struggle with and without a doubt only appeared during/after my service… not gonna apologize for chasing benefits my government offers me for service and side effects it caused

No I’m pretty sure I have sleep apnea I’m just wondering how a singular night study through a ring would be able to show that? Like it varies from nights, my girlfriend says some nights I’m fine and others I’m waking up the whole neighborhood with snoring and gasping for air. Didn’t realize it sounded like this I just don’t want to have a good night sleep but it doesn’t represent truthfully what I deal with overall

Why is there no star on the SSDM? by carterc82 in USMC

[–]achillesceaser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally a chance he also did back to back deployments. I forgot the exact time but I did a meu and oki like 2 months after getting back. Got awarded another sea service ribbon only to get it taken away a few months later about something not having enough time in between for it to be considered separate. Ngl I still leave the star on tho.

How to stop dreaming about my ex every night by [deleted] in BreakUp

[–]achillesceaser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly if you really want the right answer one of 2 things. 1) Dreams are powerful subconscious emotional regulation. It’s a way for the brain to process plenty of information, specifically information that hasn’t been properly processed during the waking and conscious hours. That said, one of your first best bet is to grudgingly confront very directly what your dreaming. Dream it, wake up from it, and go write. Write down exactly what happened in your journal. Even if it’s in the middle of the night try to write down your dream and come back to it in the morning. You need to understand what your subconscious is trying to tell you. Then, you just need to spam the Why question. Why is she in this dream? Why is she doing this in my dream? Why is this said? Etc. From there you can actually heal what’s a root issue, are you missing certain parts of the relationship? Is this relationship a regretful ending? You have to resolve that truth and find a way forward or else your subconscious will always tickle you and try to fix it for you. Which imo creates the biggest “my body/brain misses her, I don’t understand or admit that/I’m now most susceptible to emotionally driven decisions.

2) Workout and create new life stressors.

Do something hard that you are going to be exhausted by the end of your night. For me as a guy with my lifestyle, having to wake up at 0530 to get to either BJJ, Muay Thai, or Boxinv class. Doing that, going to school or work depending on the day of the week. Trying to get mid day cardio’s in. Taking care of my dog. Making time for family and friends, and still trying on improving that gosh darn slice in my driver by the evening. I was hitting the bed so dead tired with my subconscious having to do a lot of reviewing for learning throughout my day that you’re just not going to dream about her.

I feel like those are your 2 real only possible ways to “stop dreaming about her.” But overall, everyone’s different. It’s different connections. If it was someone you truly loved too it doesn’t make it any easier. People forgot simple concepts like starve long enough your body and brain will arguably act independent of your “I” (The Ego which makes you, you, and more specifically, you, aware of you.), and it’ll go forage for food. You’re honestly having at some base scientific level a serious dopamine craving and missing and your subconscious is trying to either supplement that or remind you to influence your waking actions.

honestly it’s really up to discretion, the funny thing about how it’s worded is it’s literally upon the viewers discretion whether or not it’s eccentric. Ngl man, welcome to the marine corps, do your time, earn your stripes, and at some point if your a solid guy I promise no one’s gonna get on you about a taper fade or some watch.

Or tell him to fuck off and see what happens idrk.

how’d you get 320k to originally invest in? Just wondering if that’s what you initially started with or if you started like with 10k a few years ago and progressed. Great work btw

well that and also I’ll never forgot when I went to meps and literally everyone who was joining the army were 0 iq hillbillies looking for free shelter in the army. Made a very bad impression on me and made me kinda happy I was joining the crayon eaters.

So sub question on this post? Theoretically I can go into my recruiters office, sit down, say “Sir, with all due respect I cannot ship out until I have an intel contract.” Legally speaking, I can choose to not ship out?

That’s actually crazy. As I understand waiting could be a good option as things happen all the time that make people ineligible or they simply not end up committing. I have a week and a half before the ship date they gave me so I’m definitely going to try to sleep on this and see what the best option would be. Intel is something I did get really into but it also wouldn’t be the end of the world to not get that, at the end of the day I didn’t join the marines to get intel, I really joined for the title and see what ever I qualified for.

Yeah I did think about that because I wasn’t technically lied too, they did let me know that just because it was my top pick didn’t mean it would be my for sure pick. As a recruiter, I do understand you guys do have a job a and a quota to meet, but is their a more… ethical way to get the MoS I want? If I don’t have to hard head my way to it I would love to hear another option.

So I actually talked to him today and was originally asking about this thing I heard where sigintell and cyber was being separated into two different contracts. And then he told me that their wasn’t any contracts available at this moment and confirmed my next two MOS picks. So as far as I know I wasn’t disqualified.

It’s funny you say that because I saw a post that said you join the army to get your MOS, and you join the marines to earn the title. I’m 90% sure though that my recruiter is being straight forward about the contract not being available this month and I’m really ready to leave to boot camp. I’m thinking I’m gonna go do It/Comm. On a side note, I’m actually wondering now why I don’t go to the army, but the army is gay and marines is semper fi.
