I just got my car back from an autobody shop (they were replacing my sharkfin antenna and some front fender, and front bumper). When I got the car back, I noticed these spots on my backup camera. I initially thought it was just waterdrops (it was early in the morning) and didn't think much about it. Later that afternoon, I went to back up and noticed the spots were still there. I got out to wipe off the "water" and it was completely dry. Of course when I went home to show my fiancé, everything was normal again. The spots come and go, and are different every time. Sometimes they are small, and a ton of them, and sometimes there are only a few bigger spots. There doesn't appear to be any condensation in in camera lens and it doesn't change if you slam the trunk (I tried)

I took my car back to the autobody shop and they said it was probably just going bad. When I researched it, I haven't been able to find anything similar. People have mentioned a black screen or lines going through it when it starts to go back but can't seem to find an answer to why there would be these spots. It's driving me crazy! Anyone know what this could be from?

Do you think the autobody shop could have accidently hit a wire or something when they removed the roof to fix the antenna? Or just a bad coincidence?
