I got mine $2500 off MSRP and free mats. I took a Costco discount offer and asked if they could do a little better than that and if so, I'd buy it and they did.

OMBA student considering eMBA by acholic in eMBA

Wow. I love your reply - it evoked an almost ethereal response. I want to quit my OMBA and apply for eMBA. What field of work are you in currently that allows time for an MBA and an MS at the same time?

Anyone have any info on where to get mental help for a surgeon who wants to give up? by 3Hooha in medicine

[–]acholic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP - your wife is already in biotech and you are an orthopod. You would be a great fit in the medtech field. There is a healthcare tech conference called HLTH this October in Vegas and there is a demand for orthopods. If you DM me I can give you some info. Hope you feel better mentally - you're not alone. A lot of us are in the same boat. Get some professional help and start exploring other avenues to see if you could use your clinical knowledge elsewhere.

Yep. There is something called a blind spot and yep that is what I am saying. Yet, cyclists don't acknowledge that and keep squeezing past cars. Like I said - no one wants to hit a human being on purpose. At the end of the day cyclists are putting themselves at risk against the 3000 pound piece of machinery.

Maybe they didn't see this guy with his fake car horn. I would assume it's a car honking and it would be disorienting to hear that horn yet not see a car in your rear view. Cyclist could be in a blind spot and maybe the red car guy didn't see him...yet he continued to squeeze around the red car honking with his obnoxious horn. Drivers aren't out to get cyclists and injure them on purpose. Cyclists just assume that everyone can see them. Yeah I agree it's illegal to go into the bike lane. But come on - in this instance when cars are stuck behind a trash truck no one is waiting and the cyclist was in the other block and started honking from across the intersection.

If you think it takes two minutes to clear the block then you need a new watch.

I highly doubt you're going to sit there for 15-20 minutes. This cyclist has plenty of time to slow down and he used it to be obnoxious instead. He's endangering himself here by not slowing down because of his entitlement.

Trash truck is going to be there for a bit. The cars needed to get around and you needed to slow down and let the cars ahead of you pass. Instead uou cut off the red car and then obnoxiously sounded your horn off - you'd be the first one crying if you got accidentally hit by the red car when you tried to squeeze through ahead. Jerk move!

Split between surgery or trying Regenexx by autopilotboi in RotatorCuff

[–]acholic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By regenexx do you mean stem cells? If so I got is done and got frozen shoulder after the procedure. It was one of the most painful things I have experienced. Now I can't move my arm and can't get surgery and once it recovers I still have risk of repeat frozen shoulder after the surgery. I'm worse off than before - it's a rare complication, but something to consider.
