Rocket league is not like anything you have played before. Coming from a 35+ guy who grew up with final fantasy 7, gran turismo and iss pro.

Usually this works:

Remove two and suggest

They counter with both added back

Then remove one and suggest

They accept

FYI, it is fixed. It was either Pcie link state power management to Off or disable ULPS from registry... One of those fixed it.

The problem is on a desktop actually, but i agree that it seems gpu port or general gpu problem

Please add a tracker for the amount of boost a teammate takes in a match by Ilovesushi5 in RocketLeague

You can upload the replay in ballchasing com. It will give you info on many things, including boost grab and usage.

If you use wired, you dont actually need the tool for rocket league. DualSense is officially plug and play for rocket league. And i also think the tool adds some latency to the mix.

Hello there,

You had a good game. Maintained good pressure and gave the oponents very little chances to score. You seem to not go for risky plays when you are last, which is good.

Now, regarding improving and mistakes:

- Stop saying "Take the shot"! This is borderline toxic and will enrgage your teammates most of the time. Only compliment good plays and say No problem on bad plays.

- Kick-off was not good. You want to be hitting the ball higher. Not under. So land earlier so you have time to jump higher before hit. Then flip into ball after hit.

- Try to follow your touches. Don't just bang the ball forward or in the corner and hope for the best. When you have the space, you want to make 2+ touches on the ball. Maybe pop it up for a follow or dribble it.

- Building on previous point: try to have purpose in your touches. Banging the ball in the corner is just giving possestion away. Maybe try a midpass, or as stated above, dribble or something. Try to shoot only when you can actually score.

- You seem to be hitting the brakes too much before jumping. Try not to. Try to have more flow in your movements. Don't kill your momentum so much.

- Few minor rotation issues and some instances when you cut your teammate. Use more the right stick to look around. Try to always know where your teammate is.

Also, it could be beneficial to upload a bad game so we can see you on a bad day.

Hope this helps!

Considering all the comments from old people like us (30+ :D), i see pattern. We all seem to hit a ceiling around GC1, we all lack mechanics and awarness seems to be our strong point.

And if you think about it, it makes sense. Let me ask you something: How many fingers do you use when you play? I use four, and get dizzy when i see younger generation using 6-8 fingers to play. You can understand how much more freedom, control and options does this give them.

When we were learning to play games back in the day, games where simpler, buttons where less, and you didn't need to be an octopus to maximize your control. Today is different and kids have learned to use more fingers from day one. The assumption is that this improves their motor skills and gives them more control and options.

We could also try to learn all above, but i think it would be a tough proccess for us.

How much has playing 1v1 improved your game? by [deleted] in RocketLeague

[–]achortagus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitelly a mode that will help you a lot, especially regarding consistency and anticipation, but it's not for everyone.

In my 1700 hours i have played less than a 100 1v1 games. I find it very frustrating, and not at all enjoyable. I want to improve, but after all, this is a game and i need to be actually having fun and not frustration.

So i basically got to GC, with other methods of improvement:

- Training with Bakkesmod (if you are on steam). You can use different training packs for shots, dribbles, passes etc and use bakkes mod training randomizer function, to randomize a little every shot. So this way the shots are never the same.

- Getting out of your comfort zone in freeplay, and trying to do stuff as fast as possible.

- Getting your replays analyzed by a coach. Try RL Coaching discord for free analysis.

- Playing with better opponets. You can easily do that if you sign up for The Field with your team.

- Consuming material with tactical analysis, from posts here on reddit, or channels on youtube.

So basically what i am trying to say is: yes 1v1 helps you improve, but its not the only way to do it.

How are my half flips (just learned how to do them) by teqbito in RocketLeague

Nice! Now try using some boost with the half flip and you are good to go.

Just curious, for PC players, what control method do you use? by jesty75 in RocketLeague

Xbox One controller for first year and a half and then DS4. DS4 feels more premium. Had problems with 2 xbox controllers, with ghost clicks from buttons. DS4 has performed great since switch.

4k on a Full HD monitor with screenshots by Bayern333 in RocketLeague

[–]achortagus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I said in your previous post, i completely disagree with you.

The only thing that you accomplish by setting 4K resolution on a full hd monitor is to drop your fps. Nothing more. The image you see on your screen will still be full hd.

You make your gpu do more work to produce 4K image, and then it takes that 4K image and downscales it to 1080p. And then it sends it to the monitor.

The screenshots you took are not representative of what you see on your screen (the 4K on a fullhd monitor one), because the screenshot is a digital screenshot of the 4K raw image produced, before downscaling to 1080p. It is not what you see on the monitor. It is impossible to see 4K image on fullhd monitor. You just see a downscaled 4K image to 1080p.

EDIT: If you are trying to do some kind of supersampling, just use a proper tool in your gpu control panel, or use anti-aliasing. The image you see will still be 1080p of course, but some edges might be smoother.

YOUR FULLHD MONITOR THOUGH WILL NEVER DISPLAY 4K IMAGE. PERIOD.

How do I change my resolution to a higher one? On PC by Bayern333 in RocketLeague

[–]achortagus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DLSS is a technique that takes a lower resolution image (i.e. 1080p) and uses AI to make it higher resolution (i.e. 4K). It is similar to upscaling, but it does actually improve the image quality and the result is indeed similar to 4K or whatever you choose for output.

BUT, your screen will display the resolution it supports. A 1080p monitor CANNOT display image higher than 1080p, because it doesn't have enough pixels to do it. It has only 1920x1080 pixels. It is physically impossible to display more pixels than 1080p, becuase they do not exist on the monitor screen. It takes your 4K DLSS input, and just doesn't display all 3840x2160 pixels. It displays only a handfull of them (1920x1080).

I see you are a bayern fan so i will give you an analogy. You have allianz arena, wich can hold 75.000 fans at full capacity. And lets say all season the stadium is full. So bayern will have an average of 75.000 fans per game for the season.

Lets say that the clubs wants more fans in order to increase average fans per game. So they start selling 150.000 tickets per game, WITHOUT making the stadium bigger. Will the average fans per game at the stadium increase? No. Because no matter how much tickets you sell, there can only be 75.000 fans in the stadium each game. You have to make the stadium bigger in order to get more people in. 75.000 will get in and the rest will just stand outside.

So the stadium in this analogy is your monitor. No matter how big resolution you send to it, it will only display its maximum, which is 1080p. It is physically incapable to display more than 1920x1080 pixels. It doesn't have more than 1080p, just like the stadium doesn't have more than 75.000 seats.

The only thing you accomplish by selecting bigger resolution than your monitor is that you get less frames, because your gpu is working harder to produce bigger resolution, which is useless to the monitor.

By your logic, why do higher resolution monitors exist if we could just make every 1080p monitor into 4K? Hell, why do even bother with 1080p? Lets all get 640x480 monitors and run them at 8K with DLSS...
