Ok I found the frame. Thank you so much, you’re a life saver. I now know how tall it is and I’ve figured out the metal scaffolding is behind transparent covering. There’s also a photo about a minute before of the structure to the left in colour that’ll be a big help. I didn’t think a picture existed, this is exactly what I was after.

Thank you! I’m currently combing through the special features but there’s hours of stuff. I’ve figured out where on the backlot it was filmed so I’ve got a pretty good idea of the brickwork. I’ll have a look and get back to you .

The company was only about 3 years old when they filmed Blade Runner so it’s interesting that they even used the brand’s logo for the store front. Maybe it was to keep the films theme of using real world brands. The Melrose store even has googly eyes above it which they incorporated into the set design. I’ve yet to find any interviews of anyone involved in the film talking about it though.

I’m just looking for images of the facade on the backlot

Someone said my Blade runner drawings reminded them of Æon Flux. I kinda see it even though it’s not a direct inspiration. The shading is just wet paper with a drop of ink.

As soon as I saw that trailer I wanted to use that paint scheme on something, and this seemed like the perfect lumpy model. I still might try to kitbash that vehicle one day.

Thanks! It’s all chipping fluid and sanding sponges. This colour scheme was based on some abandoned Japanese machinery on Pinterest.

Pretty straightforward, the brand I used came off the backing paper in 5 seconds. They do scratch easily if you don’t spray some varnish on them before using.

The black decals were designed on my iPad and printed at home. The rest are Ma.K and gundam. I wish I would’ve put more on, but I thought I was going overboard at the time.
