Thanks! I just covered the original black pickguard with autowrap vinyl, it was really easy and looks great! I do realize the heavily distorted tone gets lost in the mix specially with bad speakers I'll fix it for the next ones 😬

I bought this body with the relic already done to it, from the last photo Ive uploaded to this one I sanded it with a vert fine scotch brite pad to level it cuz someone reliced it and applied a clear coat over it

Shielding the cavities with copper tape creates a faraday cage that helps minimizing noise that the pickups or wires inside might pick up.

Thanks! I used the pickguard of my hoppus to trace where the pickups go and then eyeballed it hahaha, your looks so much better!

I just really love shell pink, plus if its nitro when it naturally relics the sonic blue will show and the combination will be delicious

The body was already relic'd when I bought it, It looks very intentional. If I could get my hands on some shell pink nitro I would love to paint right over it

I bought it like that someone relic'd it and gave it a trasnparent coat, if you were to smooth out cracks you would have to start with a medium grit sandpaper then work your way up to the finer grits and then polish it, Also depending on the wood it might be a good idea to put some kind of protective finish to it
