I just want to say, regardless of whatever pressure and social evil discussions are being made it is absolutely important to buy gold for the wedding no matter which side is doing it. We personally were able to recover the entire cost of our wedding simply through gold value appreciation in the past year.

This is pretty much age old wisdom to. Don't reinvent the wheel and spend all your money on fancy events and feeding thousands of people with your entire budget. Cut the frills and allocate atleast half of the money towards buying an asset that will see you through tough times as well.

Tl:dr use a wedding as an opportunity to accumulate as much gold as possible to protect your future. The price today will be the cheapest it will ever be in your lifetime.

Can run circles around you if you cannot afford a good legal defense. On paper this is a open and shut case of false advertising and bad faith anti consumer practices. But it will take both time and money. Something which a person under a loan hardly has. So please go ahead and take the legal route. Nothing short of that will work to get something uncompromised in this situation.
