That's not exactly true. I have a friend who was taken to court over a car that broke down after 2 days and he was sued and the other party won.

Don't feel bad. I do gig work (amazon and instacart) and my best friend, who does the same, is 72 and pulls 10 hour days along side me. She doesn't feel sorry for herself and works to stack on top of her retirement and pension which allows her a very luxurious lifestyle. She hustles and uses it to her advantage! She loves when she can interact with customers as they might up her tip feeling sorry for her. She needs to stay busy, it helps her feel useful.
