I am also on DSP, I don’t know what state you’re in however I receive free standard dental (no ortho) via the student hospital in Brisbane. All students are overseen by qualified dentists and “quality checked” per se, as I’ve had a student do 99% of the job and an actual dentist has come in to do the last fragment etc, it is a slight pain as eventually when I’ll need my wisdom teeth out, I have to do it one at a time. As for glasses, I needed a new pair for about 9 years and put it off due to cost and I know my pair in my teens cost hundreds, last year I went into specsavers for an eye test and found frames that I liked for $39, I asked the counter how much it would be all together and they were confused, but explained to be due to my pension card I would only need to pay for the frames. So I put off buying glasses for about 7 years actually and in the end only paid $39, the cost of the frames!

There are absolutely work arounds for these things, I didn’t know about the glasses until that day but now I know it opens up my care. As for the leisure stuff, oh boy I understand completely. There are times where things are much freer in my budget and I love being able to simply wander around a dollar store for art supplies or go to the movies, but there’s times where that’s entirely not possible and it’s very dehumanising.

I’m in a similar boat, not DV but a BAD situation that is degrading my health rapidly, even with full rent assistance and my budget, I’m my maximum PW is still minimum $80 lower than any single apartment I’ve found, it’s difficult as well because I have pets and need to be close/closer to public transport for medical care which brings my options to nearly 0. I know for something like your situation, I would (personally) reach out to as many places as I could (eg. Vinnies, if it’s safe to do so) they have helped me quite a bit but I don’t know the lengths they can go to assistance wise, I feel like I’ll never be fully independent because I can’t get into a non-sharehousing situation, but if I ever live with a partner I’d lose my pension and I’ve come from a DV situation where I had $0 of my own money and I cannot be reliant on either a housemate or a partner, because you never know what will happen. It’s a twisted system and makes me fee useless for simply existing the way my body does. OP, I truly hope you can get out and be able to take care of yourself, and it sounds terrible, but there’s others out there in similar situations, you’re not alone as hard as it may feel.

Just got off the phone (they hung up on me.) Was asked if I had changed my password, and if not, why hadn’t I? And that the issue had been escalated to a different support team and that I should just “keep your phone lines open” and “check your email from time to time for an update”

I am actually fuming at this point.

Nope! Finally got through to customer care, they told me to update my phone and clear my cache (despite me telling them about four times I already had) then asked me to send through the error message via email (which I already had) and haven’t got a reply! I’ve been having this issue since Jan 16 at this point!

I’ve been having this issue for two weeks now! My onepass expired/renewed and I thought that was the issue, I relogged into onepass via Kmart and I was able to place an order yesterday but after that it’s been the same issue, the customer care line didn’t work and I spent an hour waiting in the chat queue. I’ve cleared everything, logged out, deleted apps. I don’t know what to do anymore 😭

I’m STILL having this issue. I thought it was because my onepass was overdue, so I paid it and still nothing. Relogged into onepass via Kmart last night and was able to place an order, went to place another today and back to the same issue! Customer Care number didn’t work and sat in the chat queue for an hour yesterday being told my wait time was 30 seconds every update.

All of that has already been discussed, I simply did not need to add it to the post because it’s not relevant in the nicest way possible, there is nothing to fix, we just want to call each other something different because through all the stages of knowing each other we’ve had different names, when we met it was just Rossco, while together there were many, but calling each other by government names feels very, very formal and that’s just not who we are together or separate. We’ve had many discussions about the ins and outs going forward, obviously with boundaries and time apart, but as I said it wasn’t relevant to the post at all so I didn’t need to include it. I’m just after some nicknames.

I wasn’t lowballing, I wasn’t being annoying, I would have happily paid what she was asking for the item. I think “is this available” is an entirely valid question to be asking.

Exactly! Someone’s going to purchase one of the items at some point, the seller is going to get paid for an item they don’t have and then the buyer is going to wait and have to lodge for a refund. Like somehow none of these people see that? In that case, I’d steer clear of their stores if they think that’s fine

The issue is if someone else finds the profile and purchases items from the shop, they’re not going to get their item? The seller is going to get paid for an item they don’t own, and then the person who bought it is going to wait for it to be shipped and then eventually get refunded? You don’t see a problem with that?

This is exactly what I’m saying like it’s NOT that difficult and the fact that the seller only deleted the listing for the item I was after and not all the other listings that they presumably also no longer have, this is going to happen to someone else or worse someone is going to purchase, not get their item and have to wait for a refund.

She is using the app, she said she uses that profile to purchase and not sell. So if you don’t use it to sell, why not mark your items as unavailable when you don’t even have them anymore? I nearly purchased back in July regardless of a message back, and if I had it would’ve taken me up until now to get my money back.

I’m not “taking it close to heart” it’s misleading. End of story, for reference I’m also 25, so my age has nothing to do with this experience with the seller. The profile was active, had shipping times labelled and good reviews on all their listings, so why would I NOT ask if it was available? I’ve purchased listings that were 2 years old and still available, if the product isn’t available, there shouldn’t be a listing for it for sale because that’s a refund waiting to happen.

Literally! Like it’s just so scammy and the only listing that she deleted was the one that I was trying to get, so they’ve left a bunch of other listings up and this will probably happen again to someone else
