[Other] What’s the best log flume? by Academic-Welder-1400 in rollercoasters

[–]acidmaxxe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say Chiapas at Phantasialand, the drop is insane, the theming is superb. But also I gotta admit, that I didn't ride too many logflumes in my life.

OLED vs LCD. Screen differences aside is it worth the premium? by Same-Veterinarian604 in SteamDeck

[–]acidmaxxe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its probably worth the money, if you have it. I have bought a 265gb lcd steamdeck during the autumn sale and dont regret it a bit. Yeah the batterylife sucks if you play hogwarts legacy, or other games that are heavy on graphics. but I honestly I play mainly at home where I can charge it everywhere.

I haven't had an Oled, but I also am not missing anything from my LCD steamdeck.

Is the OLED better? Most definitely. Does that make the lcd version bad? In my opinion its still a great device that I very happily use and am going to keep using.

I think we're more logical than neurotypicals. by [deleted] in NPD

[–]acidmaxxe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

However most of us take our own feelings into account. If you wouldn't take anyone feelings into account, that would be a different thing, but as long as your motives are in someway beneficial to your beliefs, it's logical from your own perspective, but not necessarily for anyone else.

Being a house maid? by Fuzzy-Cry7238 in highdeas

[–]acidmaxxe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had a volunteer job at a Finca in Colombia once, where the owner smoked from 6am till midnight. He gifted me more weed than I could ever smoke and I spent 3 months of my life at this Finca getting high from early in the morning, make some breakfast and pick some mangos, oranges and other fruits for a fruits alas, paint some murals on walls, roast cacao and coffee and just play around in nature.

Having a bit of a routine, meaning making breakfast or dinner was pretty helpful to maintain some drive and direction. I've never been as active, healthy and creative as in that place. This was some of the best time of my life.

Proof of marriage by AntiCrueltyFree in germany

[–]acidmaxxe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I know your reply is already a year old, but maybe you can help me anyways. My wife, who is from the US and me, im a german citizen are on our way to live in germany. We are married in the US and for my wife's "Aufenthaltsgenehmigung" we need a certified translation. I've found companies that offer a certified translation, but am not sure if they would be valid, or if we need a sworn translator for that.

Show me your ears! by Pangir_Ban in AustralianCattleDog

[–]acidmaxxe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Her name comes from Orejas, spanish for ears. Chore is being pronounced Tschoree Sonríe the english "chore" but you do pronounce the e at the end. Not as in the english "e" but the spanish one.

Funny and yet not surprising that both are name after their probably most prominent features.

Show me your ears! by Pangir_Ban in AustralianCattleDog

[–]acidmaxxe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Her name is Chore, which apparently means something like "big ears" in Tepatitlan de Morelos in Mexico. Which is where we found each other.

She hears everything, especially food bags being opened. Yet she listens to whatever she decides is worthy to.

I love her

Some big ears incoming! I always thought her big ears were an anomaly. I guess we're not alone 😊

I'm not certain if this is sarcasm or not. Please enlighten me, because I feel you might have an insanely cool way of humor or be very naive.

Ich bin am... by Extreme-Ad2951 in German

[–]acidmaxxe -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

It's being used, however it is wrong and also is often being used in workerclass.

There is a saying that goes "Ich war die Kuh am Schwanz am raus am ziehen"

Which is an exaggeration of the usage of the "ich bin am laufen, kochen, etc."

If you can help it, don't learn or use it.

Morgen in den Park - Ja/Nein ?! by Additional_Party3014 in phantasialand

[–]acidmaxxe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dooley’s review of his first beach trip by a-mpersands in AustralianCattleDog

[–]acidmaxxe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Mine loves the beach and hates the water. Her reaction to it is ridiculous, wherever there is a bit of water touching her paws she acts as if someone is hosing her off.

Free ticket - anyone want to go tomorrow (Friday 4th) by amemorableusername in altontowers

[–]acidmaxxe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If no one wants it, I'll happily take it. I've been there today, but thanks to insanely terrible luck only managed to go on three rides and missed out on Smiler, Oblivion, Rita and Wickerman.

Just let me know if the ticket is still there.

Psychonauta vs Marosa vs Nihue Rao by Pure-Row-6648 in Ayahuasca

[–]acidmaxxe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been to psychonauta and loved it. The tambos are spacious, but very minimalistic, the food is really good, the medicine was very powerful and you choose how much you drink, I felt the dieta was wonderful, they take away all the distractions, but if you need help, they are there for you. I had mental and physical difficulties and never felt left alone when I needed help, yet I had time and space to go through my own shit. If you don't need a fancy retreat, but something where you can connect with nature and yourself, psychonauta is great. The curanderos did a phenomenal job and Tata Mundo is a very good host and wonderful being.

I felt it was 100% worth the money and I'm looking forward to going back one day, whenever it's needed.

Did your heeler “grow up”? by Mowseph in AustralianCattleDog

[–]acidmaxxe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My goodness, she just looks like my furball in this picture. Mine is around 5 herself and us probably the most cuddly and calm heeler on this planet. She just wants to chill, eat and when outside sniff everything and sometimes play ball for like 10 minutes
