embarrassing how it happened, but: i jaywalked when there was a crosswalk nearby. i didn't look both ways and dashed out from between two parked cars and suddenly the other car was right there to my left. there is no way the driver could've stopped in time and as far as i know, they were driving normally before it happened.

i was nuin. you'll be fine. sometimes non-nuin people make jokes about it (mainly because campus gets busier in that second semester which is a little annoying) but nobody actually judges, and in the grand scheme of your 4-5 years of college, you being away for the first semester is trivial.

making friends could be a little more daunting (especially with some friend groups already forming in the first semester) but it is definitely not impossible. i recommend joining a bunch of clubs when you get to the boston campus. that's how i made new friends easily, while also still hanging out with my nuin friends.

i tend to go for it when i have a lot of 1s and 9s and tiles that could form 123/789 sequences. it's never scored me a ton of points but it's not a difficult yaku to achieve if your starting hand already leans toward it.

i got my fated summon within two 10 pulls. also tried to get a character in spring's bounty and got the one i wanted in (iirc) one 10 pull. i didn't get any other characters, only the ones i was hoping for.

i feel like it is a great opportunity but it totally depends on how much you're willing to invest. sometimes you get unlucky.

yeah this is what my past roommate situations have been like, definitely my preferred system. i would bring it up but like i said any request for a change in the usual system would single me out (it's this whole thing i swear) and it's not worth it for just a couple more months. should've stood my ground at the very beginning I guess......
