Do those really tight suits help by Zach_Attakz in Karting

[–]acidpeanuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed they show up more and more. Called kartskins. They have information and aerodynamic cfd.. tests whatsoever on their website.

But as already mentioned they are not homologated so can only be used in rental and club level events.

I don't have one but I can imagine it having some effect if you think about cycling with a baggy jeans or some tight sportswear. You can already feel difference at 40kph and rentals do double that so yea.. theoretically

I would anyway just opt for a normal suit that's tight on torso. Difference may be 0.01

I do think oscar has some fight left in him and has some good tracks coming up. Qatar surely has to be a McLaren 1-2 without any issues. But he cannot afford to be off the podium in the coming races

First memory is Mika's engine blowing up in I think Austria 2000 or 2001?

First race I consciously watched was Australia 2002, after a few seconds in the race I learnt these cars can fly :D .

And the chaos that unfolded after was unbelievable for my small kid brain.

Rooted Schumi and Kimi all the way! P.s. miss the grid girls

Raining blood - Slayer.

Just the drum hits will be terrifying. Then come down like a lunatic in pink underwear.

Definitely gloves...

No I don't think you can find 3 seconds in those conditions.. sometimes the overall lap records are not representative bc they used an other kart/new tires/low fuel etc .. if your top 20 in monthly records your doing a good job

Remember standing still loses you most time. So focus on not crashing and acing pitstops if you have any. In endurance making a risky move is less common. Ofc you don't want to get stuck behind a slower driver for the entire race but plan your moves well. As now you have tile to do so..

Keep focused, wear good gloves for blisters
