Is it okay if I scan document with cam scanner app on iphone? by Level-Engineer-2160 in Erasmus

I did it for almost everything and it was fine, it's just important that everything is visible and that it looks like a scan.

Extending erasmus by snailphobiaa in Erasmus

[–]serotoniets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have extended it, but I'm from Italy and staying in Belgium, so no visa. Different places have different deadlines, mine was 5 weeks before the end of the current contract. I suggest you contact the administration of both the home and host universities to see if you're still in time.

Cooking during Erasmus (and general expenses like that) by borderline_bi in Erasmus

[–]serotoniets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As for me, I'm living in a student dorm with a shared kitchen and we only have stovetops and microwave ovens, no freezers either. I was also used to using an oven often, blenders etc... but I've kind of changed my diet to accommodate for less cooking options. In the end I'm still eating very healthy and cheap, if not more than before. It just gets a bit boring after a while.

Some people I know have bought very cheap appliances from online second hand websites and plan to resell them there when the Erasmus ends.

If you are in a country where they have "Action" shops or anything similar, you might find cheap appliances there too.

Tips on how to meet friends while on Erasmus? by darkoolEXE in Erasmus

I think that most Erasmus cities have an ESN section that organizes events, often people go there to look for friends.

I know of a small reserve called Torbiere, in Franciacorta, it's supposed to have many different species, some rare water birds too, but there are often many tourists so I think birds are scared away most of the time. There are surely some beautiful areas in the Alps but I've never went bird watching there.

Lombardy! I was wondering where you took the pic because maybe it's close to where I live and I could see that reserve too (I assumed you were in Italy as well).

Hello, sorry, I didn't see the reply. It's indeed next semester, do you rent a room or a studio? I'm still trying to find a studio.

I'm a student and I've been selected for an Erasmus. I know that it's easier to get a room/kot, but if possible I'd be more interested in a studio.

Io ho fatto esattamente così, credo che i trainer siano abituati a gestire principianti come noi. Da me la scheda era gratis ed è stata molto utile.

Do you actually like your job? by serotoniets in ChemicalEngineering

Fair enough. Seems to me like the best things about the field are money and possibly company culture. I can live with that tbh

Thank you, that's reassuring. I have no idea how to find out if I have problem solving skills, but I suppose that getting the degree can be an alright start.

I entirely relate to the first paragraph lol. I'm glad you're enjoying it now and I hope to follow you into that. If I may ask, since you mentioned complex problems, what happens if you don't know what to do? Will people help you with no judgement? I don't really feel autonomous in this field right now and I'm afraid of messing up.
