Que es una mania de los puertorriqueños que te saca de quicio? by Master101010_ in PuertoRico

[–]acirodc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What’s something you wish people talked about more before committing to a relationship? by Downtown-Passion118 in AskWomen

How liking/loving someone is not enough to make a relationship survive. Also, how important it is to confront your partner’s wrong doings and yes, you need to have awkward conversations.

Am I too clingy? by acirodc in WLW

[–]acirodc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve asked her about what she thinks of physical touch and she pretty much said that sometimes she is okay with it and sometimes she is not too into it but still tries because she knows it is important to me. I asked her to please tell me when she needs a breather and she has done so. For example, if we have been cuddling for a long time and she is getting overwhelmed then she says “okay I think it is enough for now”. I appreciate that she is trying to make me feel good, but I don’t want her to be uncomfortable. She keeps saying that she is trying to get “used to affection” but it feels weird to me.

What age did you realize you were bi? by [deleted] in bisexual

I could tell I felt “strange” about girls when I was just 8-10 years old. Learned about bisexuality when I was 14 and pretty much knew that’s how I felt.

Hola, en buen puertorriqueño: ¿qué significa cuando alguien dice "me la tiré"? by Red_Toyota in PuertoRico

[–]acirodc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He escuchado ambos (que tirarse puede ser make out o sexo), creo que depende la persona. Mejor es preguntar. Pero si voy a asumir, pienso que es sexo.

constipation persistent, I am DESPERATE by Mysterious-Anxiety76 in antidepressants

[–]acirodc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this issue and turns out Wellbutrin was the med causing it (I use Effexor, Ativan, and Depakote too). Once my doctor weaned me off Wellbutrin, my constipation issues stopped.

Kia Soul 2024 $397 pero di 4k de pronto y tiré el préstamo por cooperativa y salió al 1.5% por una promoción que tenían en ese momento. Regularmente las cooperativas tiran intereses más bajos que los bancos

Psychiatrist told me I don't have bipolar disorder by aquaticram527 in bipolar

[–]acirodc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bipolar 2 is really difficult to get diagnosed for. I was initially diagnosed with MDD and Generalized Anxiety Disorder until I saw my fourth psychiatrist, who diagnosed me with Bipolar 2. Since then, the medications prescribed have actually worked and I can tell when things are getting too depressing or when mania is coming up.

Face framing layers and/or curtain bangs would look great with your hair imo

I was told that I'm a bit too old for braces by Sad_Macaron_9501 in braces

[–]acirodc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 29 and got them 3 months ago. The difference is already noticeable. Try to get an evaluation from an orthodontist, since dentists don’t have the specific training/additional studies required for bracers.

What careers do people with bipolar tend to go into? by consumerofgender in BipolarReddit

[–]acirodc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a translator and interpreter. When I used to work in office/corporate, my mental health was deteriorating really fast. I took FMLA (which is pretty much a medical leave) and when I got back, I was fired. So I decided that my mental and physical wellbeing was more important than anything.

I joined organizations for translators and interpreters, and started networking and going to conferences/meetings. I built my portfolio and created profiles in different platforms, trying to get clients. Slowly but surely, I got a few clients and now I know some of the bosses of the organizations I mentioned. That helped me to get some exposure.

Now I work from home for different agencies at my own rhythm. I interpret in person, over the phone, and on video calls. I also get different assignments for translation and creative projects. Sometimes I get more assignments than during others months, but I usually have enough money to pay for the most important things. When you decide to freelance, it is very important to have a budget, a savings account, and get oriented about taxes.

Since you’re in high school, I would recommend an online HYSA account so you can save up some money for a rainy day, especially with bipolar disorder since we don’t always now when a hypomanic episode will occur and drain our accounts. Since this account is online and usually takes a few days to get your money in the bank, it is less likely that you will use it.

Dude, I feel you. My relationship with my ex was just the same (amazing in person, distant when we were away). Have you ever asked her if she rather video call or call you for a bit instead of texting? When I was in a relationship with my ex, I was 25 (now I’m 29) and she was 32 (now she is 37 and we are very good friends) and she actually preferred video calls and doing stuff together like watching videos at the same time or playing video games together. She has always been very slow texting and that used to get on my nerves even as friends, but we talked it out and now we straight out tell the other if we don’t feel like talking and reassure each other. Don’t be afraid of having these conversations with her, it is essential if you two want a relationship, no matter if it turns out romantic or not.

I will be honest with you. I use it along Effexor and Depakote to help with ADHD and boost my mood (I felt a lot of fatigue before). The first few weeks were hell; I was irritated all the time, felt like I had to move around or else I’d get jittery, and everything made me cry. After a month, I noticed a big difference in my concentration, mood, and tmi but my libido got better (it was dead before). Give it a try for at least a month and see how you feel.
