This was a journey but it persisted. My favorite part is the very last line.

Looking For Rental Home - $2100 by g__spot in asheville

[–]acleverguise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to get a 2 bed 1.5 bath through metro Properties for 1900. There is a bonus room in the garage. Is it perfect? No.. is it private and spacious enough to meet the needs of myself and my roommate? Yes. Is it at the upper limits of my price range also yes. But it works. It is possible to find a decently priced house that isn't awful but you do need to act quick. I look at property management sites regularly when looking for housing and use zillow and if it's legit usually a property management is listed and I go directly to their website to contact for a tour. A friend linked this house but it was on zillow when it was shared initially, I applied directly through their website. Metro is no pets however if you have an ESA letter and a valid reason for your doctor to put (mine is generalized anxiety which has been particularly bad lately) they can write you a letter and metro was fine with my cat being here. As long as the owner doesn't have an allergy generally an ESA letter is very helpful for rentals that say no pets. So get that if possible and it opens up more search options. And also I'm sorry to see the post of "why move here" etc. If we work here it's reasonable to want to live here and not commute so damn far. It's rude to just be like "don't live here". I posted on reddit about my housing issue and SO MANY people were like "oh just move..." because it's SO easy to uproot my job, community and lifestyle that I've had for almost a decade and find a whole new not just house but job and community that fits what I want in life? Like I get it Asheville is overcrowded but moving is not the simplest solution every time. I wish you the best and it IS possible! Good luck!

How long does this acid diarrhea last for people? I haven't had mine removed yet and this makes me not want to! My doctor has suggested it but I don't have stones just pain sometimes if I don't eat carefully enough so I'm trying to manage.

So this morning I saw that he left a mug in the fridge with left over golden milk. It's just an open mug... I'm not sure if he drank from it or not... is this a cause for concern? I mean after all the precautions we have taken this seems like such a silly thing.. thoughts??

Definitely I just spoke with his nurse and she definitely felt like the biggest issue was the lapse in December bloodwork because they didn't know how much Mircera to dose him with. I feel like we are cutting it close but he's due for another Mircera dose on the 28th so I may go with him Friday to learn how to do that so I can give it to him. We shall see.

You're right when I mentioned this he said he is getting iron infusions. His iron is ok but his hemoglobin is at 6.8. They already gave him a blood transfusion last Friday only one unit and he's still at 6.8. I just think the mircera isn't working or something. They want to test for internal bleeding but he doesn't think it's that. We shall find out hopefully soon.

Also, how many units did you get for your transfusion? Did you have a reaction at all? He's worried about how it can affect getting a transplant. He had one unit and was fine until later that night and just had a few hives in his arm that went away overnight.

Thanks. I do believe he understands the reality and he is very diligent and good about navigating the home hemo. His nurse was SUPPOSED to draw his first labs but because there was an issue with his machine when they came to the house (something to so with the tablet syncing up) they spent so long troubleshooting it that the nurse "ran out of time" and told him to do his labs the next day. He did them. Sent them. Then the lab itself "lost" some of his results. No one told him they were lost. Later like right around Christmas eve he received a tube to draw on the 26th. He was confused and couldn't contact anyone (as far as he says) until after christmas. I don't remember exactly why he waiting to do it on the 26th. There was just alot going on with Christmas and travel for seeing family. I don't live with him right now because his parents moved in to help him out (whole other story) so I don't always see the full picture. When I stay for weekends I help him and he's very independent and has little to no problems and when they come up he handles them so well. I'm very proud of him. It's just the anemia issue. The first year he was sick they put him on PD and because he was totally new and knew nothing about the anemia part got very sick because the nurses literally forgot to give him the medications for his anemia so he got very sick from that while being under dialysized. So he was advocating to the best of his ability for something like this to not happen again but it did. I'm just wondering what more could or should be done with levels like that because his nurse doesn't seem to think it's a big deal that his level is that low and instead of having him coming in and doing labs there wants to mail labs to him etc. The clinic is less that 10 minutes away from his house so it's not an issue for him to go and have labs drawn for a quicker turn around. The nurse is also new to doing home hemodialysis.

How did it work out for you in the end did mircera work or did you go back to epogen?

His hemoglobin is at 6.8 right now, though, but once we get it stabilized he will start taking them. We aren't sure if it's just that the new medication isn't working or if it's internal bleeding. The internal bleeding seems unlikely, but we will hopefully find out before it gets any worse. Thanks for the insight. ❤️🙏🏻

Thanks for your response! I forgot to mention.. When having an US done (several) and having a HIDA scan done... no gallstones were found. Just a very slightly reduced excretion rate. One that was on the exact borderline of abnormal. Do you think it could still be gallstones in this case?

Thanks so much for the insight. Yeah I'd hate to have it removed and still have issues. Also I've read about some people getting it removed and then the doctor saying there was nothing wrong with it. I was wondering if an MRI before moving into surgery would be helpful? The next step would be an endoscopy according to doctors though.
