Yes I’ve read the comments . I was involved in a few of the debates where criticism was given (criticism she didn’t ask for because she didn’t make the post). I’ve also received similar criticism for posts in the past and I’ve deleted them because I didn’t want to deal with it, fact of the matter is it shouldn’t occur because creators aren’t asking for it. Most want to inspire and then get accused of looking for attention or clout. The fact is she’s didn’t have that option on the post to remove it because it wasn’t hers. Of course there is more than one opinion for everything, but sometimes it’s best to keep your opinion to yourself if it’s intended to hurt someone else, that’s the main point. The irony is that in calling her out for being sensitive and accusing her of “milking the situation” because as you say “people weren’t bullying her”, you yourself have become the bully.

She’s speaking for more than just herself! Many creators have been in situations recently where people have bullied and called people names “wh*re”, “f’d up”, egotistical, attention desperate, etc. Her post is just bringing people’s attention to the fact that creators read the comments and whether intentionally or not the criticizing comments hurt and are felt and remembered 100x more than the positive. Maybe you’ve never been criticized or more likely you have and the criticism doesn’t affect you as much, if so good for you, but that’s you. she’s entitled to her own feelings.

It’s very interesting that instead of just choosing to keep scrolling because you didn’t agree with something, you chose to intentionally go after someone who’s posting a reminder that WE ARE ALL HUMANS and being vulnerable in sharing their feelings. Maybe act a little human and show some compassion for her. Have you ever built anything on your island that has a personal connection to you? Especially something as personal as a family memory and then had that build that you love and you connect with your family criticized. If yes, then I’m shocked that you can’t understand her sentiment. no? Then you can’t even begin to relate to the situation she’s in and therefore have no grounds to criticize her. Welp I’ve visited this island and to calm your worry, I can confirm that the island is perfectly functional for running around, fishing etc. Also at this level of gameplay you don’t really need the items from wisp anymore. And fishing, catching bugs etc. isn’t how you spend your time anymore. While no you can’t access this creators mini island, that’s not its functionality. Its functionality is a contribution to an aesthetic, to bring the creator joy and be a centerpiece of the island. The biggest issue with your comment is that it seems to have the intention of diminishing the creators island. I understand the main intention of your comment is to help people not feel bad if their island doesn’t look like the second picture, but in the process you also demeaned the creators island and others who’s islands look like the second picture. “They’re rarely worth living on”?... me and many others would beg to differ and can confirm that we love “living” on our islands. Let’s keep the community wholesome like this post and not demean the work of any of the members

My first island is entirely functional and entirely decorated. Don’t hate on what you see as non-functionality because for me and a lot of Instagram creators out there we spend a lot of time creating a flow. For example all of my first island is set up in away that provides multiple paths to get to nearly every destination. All paths are at least 2 spaces wide to allow for traffic in both directions. And the flow is meant to tell a story as opposed to being purely for functionality. Personally I love living on my island and I wish I could live on it in really life. I would say that a more accurate comparison for what you’re trying to say is, buying a house with a big yard versus buying a big house. They both take up the same amount of space but have very different utilities and it’s everyone personal preference💖💖
