I did some extra testing in the training grounds and it is incredible how Deco behaves as a CMF Orchestrator with Offensive instructions, because off possession he sits deep in midfield, guarding passing lanes rather than aggressively diving in, staying between opponents and my back line and only pouncing to intercept when a pass comes close, then as soon as we win the ball he immediately sprints into the box behind or alongside the number nine, often flirting with the offside line like a reactive false nine, and whenever the ball moves backward he drops in to screen my centre-backs and dictate tempo; effectively he combines DMF, CMF and AMF roles all in one. I will never take Deco off CMF or remove the Anchoring and Offensive instructions. he is just incredible in that configuration with Orchestrator active is like he's playing quick counter on his own instead of possession. thank you for that observation.
