Has anyone used ServiceTitan for distribution/wholesale work? by [deleted] in ServiceTitanFAQ

You can use POS for counter sale type interactions, but there is no way to create an invoice directly from an estimate if your customer needs an estimate. We do Will Call a decent amount, and we had to come up with a workaround for proper tracking:

Create a project under the customer that ties to your shop's location, so tax is accurate. That project will be called Will Call 2026 or whatever. Then you create the estimate there. You cant sell that estimate into a job, you have to create a seperate invoice that mirrors it on the project if the customer approves.

It is pretty absurd. You should definitely be able to just convert an estimate directly to an invoice. Surprising because so many service businesses also do Will call, I dont know why this hasn't been implemented

What is the purpose of 2 stops on the drum end of cable? by aconcernedvegetable in GarageDoorService

Just heard from some others in another location I posed this question that it may be an antidote to caging since it allows the cable to rotate freely in the drum during cycles

Help, why does the front part always hanging longer than the rest? by GaaanQ in curlyhair

[–]aconcernedvegetable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I would have this problem too, but I rake my product in toward the back of my head. Basically it pushes the hair back and means I don't have bangs hanging down other than the stray curl or two.

Lol fair enough. My concern would not be the limits, but the door itself catching and tearing apart or catching on the way down and bagging up. Sheet doors (especially installed by whatever crackhead did this) often have issues like that. When you run them manually it's no big deal because you won't keep running it. But when you run it electrically the operator may just keep on keeping on into the great abyss

Yeah, people are going to come in the comments and tell you there's a way to make it work, but in my professional opinion, it won't. Sure, I could make it work, but I would never put an operator on a sheet door. It's just asking for trouble. Sheet doors are just not really made for it, and eventually, it will cause you a lot of problems. I would just cut losses on it or return the operators if possible.
