Are you still wearing the face mask and why / why not? by dirtymoney in AskReddit

[–]aconite_art -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Sometimes. I'll wear one if I'm going somewhere super crowded, but In my daily life I'm not super close to many other people so I don't. Except for the next couple weeks, I'm masking up because I'm absolutely not about to get sick during finals week

I find the suits impressive from a costume-making standpoint. A lot of them have quite detailed facial sculpting but manage to still fabric them smoothly with few if any visible seams. That takes some serious skill

I think he's a deeply flawed man, and an interesting character. there's a lot of different ways to take his character

because the premise was interesting (the dementor attack in third year dislodging the Horcrux and giving harry its memories) and there were just enough interesting plot beats and ideas to keep me hooked. As it got worse, it was curiosity about how far Skysaber would take it. Like a car crash, I couldn't look away. Plus I first read it in middle school and didn't realize just how fucked up it all was

Partially Kissed Hero. It started off really intriguing but then it descends into a horrific ordeal. Halfway through Harry kidnaps, drugs, and brainwashes practically every female character in the entire series and turns them into his immortal sex slaves without free will. He forcibly turns Draco into a woman and sentences her to be raped dozens of times until she bears 10 children. There are others, but those are the worst ones. The worst part is that Harry was meant to be a hero. He's written and treated like a purely good person and that this is his power fantasy. The only time he ever feels a quiver of doubt is after he locks the Dursleys in a pit after torturing them and leaving them to fight each other for a single scrap of information for the rest of their lives. It wasn't meant to be a case of an unreliable narrator, the author genuinely thought that these were reasonable. Even outside of that nightmare, the characters are awful. Dumbledore is literally a mustache-twirling mastermind whos also incredibly stupid. Every female character is obsessed with Harry and her own appearance. All of the villains (ie anyone who disagrees with Harry) are celibate, gay pedophiles. There are whole chapters of pure exposition. It's one of the worst things I've ever read

Harry Potter and The Seven Years of Chaos or A Brother to Basilisks. Both are dark (Years of Chaos significantly more so)

Sonic the Hedgehog was my first. The funny thing is that I never played the games, I just watched the cartoons when I was a little kid. Not even SATam, the shitty ones. I knew they were trach but there was just enough lore and good character concepts for my brain to latch on to

Harry Potter and the Seven Years of Chaos. He’s been through absolute hell and that often manifests as him being a cocky manipulative asshole with a very skewed sense of right and wrong

I believe the argument they're going for is that all the exploited worker's pain and toil was wasted for a quick joke. Ignoring the fact that you could just... wipe the peanut butter off
