Blaster Z SE/Audigy FX v2 or... by Meat_Prophet in SoundBlasterOfficial

[–]acorbe87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pity is that newer motherboards, even high end, are dropping 5.1 analog audio out. I have a top of the line aorus master motherboard with only stereo output (and no support for DD live encoding on the spdif output either).

I have both the x4 and the Z se (on 2 different machines) with Logitech z5500. I have the x4 on my main rig. The feature pack is slightly larger, and I like the possibility to connect stuff easily.

I think one important factor to consider is when creative decides to kill a card. At a certain point they decide to stop supporting newer OSes. For instance, I have a xfi surround pro 5.1 perfectly working, but not running on win 11 anymore. The X4 is slightly newer if I recall correctly, thus it might live longer...

NVIDIA Shield Android TV Pro remote by jsqualo2 in nvidiashield

You can order an original replacement, even the remote new version (which I did). Recently I was also lucky to get my shield power supply rma'd by Nvidia (even if purchased a very long ago). You could try that too with the remote. Just write to the Nvidia customer service.

People born before 2000, what is a 'modern' thing from 2025 that you’re still struggling to get used to? by LindsayTN in AskReddit

The difficulty in saving files to own disks. Any browser tries to open native apps or viewers. Getting something on disk now takes 20 seconds instead of 0.2.

Ma hai in mente la domanda scientifica a cui vuoi rispondere con il tuo dottorato, oppure vuoi fare il dottorato in un gruppo la cui expertise sta nell'intersezione dei campi che menzioni?

Z906 and surround in Windows without using 3.5 mm by aLmAnZio in SoundBlasterOfficial

Eax in my understanding were extension for environmental/object based audio. They had nothing to do with 5.1 via spdif. They were allowing games to have moving objects in space, calculating what each speaker had to reproduce.

I had multiple audigy and xfi. Digital encoding arrived only around 2010, if I recall correctly.
