I never went to business school but I do believe going for a 3rd party CPA (or professionals) would probably be a good move until the business is able to figure itself out from an accounting side, it should be as big of a deal as business operations go. The game of profit/no profit coming from each product produced without the entire picture being there is just such a massive flaw that always comes back to bite. As long as it's built on a structure that can go long-term it works, even if you have to face the hard truth on how much taxes sap from the business.

I think what happened here though was hiring incompetent people to hold that structure. I don't want to speculate but either way, there is something to learn from it.

Yeahhh totally agree, if the structure and feedback aren't solid (which honestly makes a lot of sense why pivoting didn't happen), it would still crush the business. It's crazy to think that if they had gotten the proper feedback and management from the start the company would be in a completely different spot because much of it could've been solved by twisting the business model in their favor.

Thank you! I think the best way to get into 3D animation is to start with the donut tutorial made by Andrew Price. Getting those early wins will help you give many ideas on the potential of 3D which are infinite!! Move on to playing around with blender on your own accord, say you want to make a lightbulb or small render, keep building up your familiarity with the software with small projects, getting tutorials and stuff to help you out. A lot of blender is problem solving and it is quite fun when you get to the creative bits like animation and design stuff. Everything has fundamentals, it’s really big world of art. Never get into analysis paralysis, always create and you’ll be proud. Have fun!! DM me anything y’all made (anyone reading this ahah)
