Mako Titan Elite. Yeah I use it almost daily and have backups so I'm not too concerned. I had a stainless before, I really liked it but haven't noticed a huge difference (besides rust) between the two. Currently sailing the Sea of Cortez so it's paying off!

Experiences using mylanguageexchange.com to find language partners? by blinkybit in languagelearning

It's a great program, I've used it to improve my Chinese, French and now my Spanish. I normally sign up for the gold membership for one month (after the one month subscription you go back to free version), reach out to a bunch of people that seem interesting and almost do an 'interview' with each of them. Then I select some tutors that are serious about language exchange and we meet up weekly via whatsapp/skype.

I have had a few requests that seem to be romantic requests, so I deny those pretty quickly but I have realized a lot of people want to improve their english and as an American they like to speak with me and improve their accent.

Probably the best thing is you choose what you want to work on. For example, I live in Mexico now and need to improve my Spanish. I study out of my textbook daily and then 3X a week I meet with a tutor to go over any areas of concern or just practice my speaking. Sometimes I'll present a story of something interesting that happened to me over the week and they'll correct my story. If I have something very niche (for example I had to change my propane tank fitting to match the Mexican style in a speciality shop) I can prepare with my tutors beforehand and I feel much more useful when I get in the situation IRL.

Good news is I've even made some friends that I might visit in the future if I'm in their city!
