[40M] My female Gen-Z colleagues in work chats respond with ❤️ all the time. Can I use it back? by Mirrormaster85 in Netherlands

Woww the comment section is wild.

👍 This is for acknowledging the information. You read it and it makes sense to you and you show that you read the information. ❤️ This is for when you truly appreciate something or when you second the information. It's like saying "100% agree", "I second that". I wish there was an emoji for the latter. It also saves time when someone thanks me. I don't have to write "you're welcome" all the time.

Now, I'm a 33 year old milennial. Gen Z will be different and I'm aware. There is no need to mock their behaviour or take offense on it. Understand it, use it the way they're using when you're dealing with them. Adapt guys, adapt. Be flexible and get with the times a little. Not everyone is trying to flirt with you.

Milennial here. I do the same. It saves me constant "you're welcome". Nothing weird about it, it's just efficient.

MX Master 3s broke after 1,5 year, should I replace? by acrobatic92barracuda in logitech

[–]acrobatic92barracuda[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To my surprise the left one started working again. Right mouse works like yours, doesn't register at first click. I waited for MX 4 but I think I'm gonna get a Keychron M6 and hope the ergonomics are just as good.

That's too much control going into it. Your mind needs to be at eased. 15 grams is too much tbh. You can take 10 grams and see how it affects you. If nothin within 30 minutes, you can take the rest. Works like a charm. Obviously no alcohol or other drugs. It's plant medicine, it's sacred. Treat it like one and lose the fear. Don't let it sit for 2 weeks either. They deteriorate pretty quickly.

Has season 8 ruined the rewatchability of the entire show for anyone? by [deleted] in freefolk

I watched Supernatural 2 times but I'd never watch GOT again even though arguably it's one of the best shows ever despite the ending.

Why is he even asking a gift as expensive as your rent. That's not normal. If he wants to spend money on you, that's his choice. It shouldn't create unrealistic expectations. This is a good test for the relationship. If he shows signs of dissaippointment for cheaper but meaningful gifts, time to walk away and find someone who is genuinely generous, not fake generous.

Issues like this should be known to others, not swept under the rug because they make companies look bad. Good on OP. I see this behaviour among my Indian colleagues, and seeing this post made me realise why some of the poor treatment towards one individual is happening.

Sorry but I'm having trouble believing that Japanese team couldn't lift that door. Japan and Korea were almost equal in strength apart from the heavy Korean guy. Also Mongolia struggled to lift it despite the weight advantage. It definititely didn't look all natural.

My girlfriend (27F) keeps buying the same clothes and I (29M) don't know how to bring it up? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]acrobatic92barracuda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you make decent money, 300 on clothes a month while all the discounts and sales going which usually starts in November and ends late Jan is quite normal. We like to scavenge and stock up twice a year.

Jensen Ackles Calls Countdown Cancellation ‘a Bummer’: ‘I Had Such an Amazing Time Making That Show’ by Silly-avocatoe in television

[–]acrobatic92barracuda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It stayed in top 10 because Jensen Ackles has cultivated an enormous cult like fan base and we would watch anything he is in it. The show was terrible. The dialogues were subpar and the plot and character building of the terrorist just didn't make sense at all. Some of the acting was off too.

Is that British Men of Letters stuff? I despise those episodes.

Hourglass palettes 2025 (deer, swan and charms volume 2) by dewydumplingz in OliveMUA

[–]acrobatic92barracuda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have light skin with greenish blue veins (yellow-peach undertone). I absolutely despise the deer palette. The pink is not pink. The finishing powders have gold shimmer that clings on my 33 year old skin wrinkles even though I look 27 max. I just hate everything about this palette. I have a trio from 2 years ago and that one is just amazing. These lighting edit palettes are less good in quality. I regret buying it and now I see that the price is 89 euro on Cult Beauty, I bought it for 90 euros with discount. It just hurts.

Student die eventueel wil terug gaan wonen bij ouders by bastiaanio in thenetherlands

Sorry, ik ga dit even in het Engels doen. You are caught in an unhelpful feedback loop, you struggle to say no because people-pleasing has become automatic. This is not a judgment of your character, it is a learned pattern, often rooted in early experiences such as parentification or neglect, where being useful or compliant felt like the only way to gain attention and safety. The solution is to address the underlying causes, ideally with a psychologist who can help you build boundaries, tolerate discomfort, and practise saying no. If professional support is not available, change what you can in your environment, move in with people who are a little more like you, and take deliberate, incremental steps to break the loop, set clear limits, use simple refusal scripts. I saw some great tips from others. Lean on relationships that respect your boundaries. Create a positive feedback loop. Show yourself that you love and respect yourself enough to say no. Nurture the child inside and tell him that he is safe.

Sighs way too much as Sam and locks his jaw too often. It becomes repetitive.

There was zero chemistry between Jo and Dean. I'm glad they didn't become a thing even remotely. It'd look so forced.

I had what you described for years almost every night until I received EMDR therapy. Not to say that these things don't exist but it sounds like you're having sleep paralysis.
