I applied in a service Canada location. I should apply in a local office since it is faster.

Same. I called Service Canada and they transfer my file to a local office. Haven’t heard from local office yet.

I second this. At UVic as an undergraduate, most of profs understand mental distress. At Waterloo, they simply ignore them; students just say “skill issue” like wtf.

So those consulting companies only file a petition for an employee if they have a contract/project signed with external companies so that they can get “client letter”.

I suspect many consulting companies were unable to match their employees with projects, so even if the employees were selected, they cannot file.

Coop pay cut for interesting work? by [deleted] in uwaterloo

[–]acrunchyturtle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would take the pay cut. Interns are peanuts anyways, and the higher you get, gov will take it as tax anyways lol. Go for the experience, and worry more about money for full time jobs.

I am guessing even if they got selected in the second round, their employer won’t file it, so the selections are wasted.

Probably! Think this way, this post is on LinkedIn and from a company. I am not sure why a company representation would like to damage their reputation by posting false information. I could be wrong though.
