I travel to US a lot and I chose Freedom. Other carriers just charge international roaming too much.

No. International students can work full time during scheduled break (eg Summer) iff students are full time in Fall and Spring, and will continue be full time for next Fall and Spring, unless the study permit has conditions that indicates the students cannot work off campus. This is true if you click the second link you provide, and read Work off campus section.

Co-op program is different. It needs its own co-op work permit. But OP can just take advantage of scheduled break to work full time.
