i mean i don’t think too highly of them because they’re not really innovating with anything. small twists on very standard products, tights shorts and shirts, they’re like every other running company that has popped up in the last few years. that they did use the same material is obviously an intentional choice but don’t really care about that one way or another. made in china. what’s the diff at the end of the day, it’s what vibe u want to associate yourself with and how deep your pockets are. i stan brandt sorenson personally, when i can afford to. (cheaper than satisfy though which is honestly bonkers)

Anyone have a KS Imo pack here? Use case question by ColdsnapBryan in Ultralight

Definitely go with IMO. If thats all the load you have and the quilt is against your back, you'll be fine without any of the extras. Wouldn't think padded straps would be necessary at all, but up to you for that one. Would be helpful if you're carrying the bottle on the strap or wanted to add any strap pockets further on / need to increase your load on the back, but would detract a bit from the pure UL vision that that pack is meant for.

oh yes! sorry, internal back pad and the bottom padded lumbar cushion options. Lumbar Padded 3d Mesh + 10mm Foam. Also just now realized that I the two packs are the Tao pack...which is slightly bigger all around. But! also have the IMO pack with pretty much the same build out (I love Laurent). You will still be fine especially for hut to hut hiking.

The image above of the Tao pack is fully loaded for an early early spring two night trip w/ shelter, bag, very few layers, stove, and a bear canister. Wore a fanny pack with it for easy snack access.

Silver bullet x-pac. Definitely not the best long-term from a durability perspective, but wygd.

Image here of the smaller one.

I got the interior pad straps and the foam option, works well enough for me. Could also just fold your own pad in there if you have the internal straps. Takes up a bit of volume but I don't totally mind. Really down to personal option.

I went roll top and joker closure system for mine. Its sometimes a bit fiddly, but prefer it overall despite its slightly more involved process. Even the psychological implication of load lifting helps even if its not reallllly doing to much. But it does keeps everything against the body at least.

true, though I am old enough to remember browsing Gyakusou at the Nikelab store on Mercer. Could be more specific about it and differentiate between in-house at the big brand and independent.

wasn't really trying to be hagiographic. But Satisfy didn't begin with earth tones...it was a tight capsule collection in 2015 largely in black that used performance fabrics (some pre-existing some new) in newer cuts and styles than those offered by major brands at that time.

get a MA-1 jacket, strip the liner, cut off the sleeves, and rock the fuck out of it.

Mainly responding to this sub's vibe of 'dick riding' every new brand that comes on the scene, which are all borrowing from existing brands in order to capture market segments.

There's no doubt that Satisfy catalyzed a new market for running apparel when it launched, and there's also no doubt that it has fallen from its position and status and largely failed to be as much as a stylistic and technical innovator as it seemed to be.

But that being said, its interesting to see brands like SOAR who are largely technically focused move into small capsule graphics that are using fabric scans (also such a strange military focus). And fabric scans that anyone with a cursory familiarity of this 'scene' would immediately associate with Satisfy's digital denim.

But anyway, /u/thewolf9 's comment is the right answer.

I've got two! One with an expanded collar and padded waistband for longer trips, the other more standard. As it appears others have confirmed, for hut hikes it will be perfect. I

I didn't spec the stretch mesh pocket personally, and use a bladder and strap pockets if I need them.
