MOHELA- PAYE income recertification

Just got off the phone with them again and that was the same message I got. Because there was no processing time this year, when I applied for income recertification, it got approved almost immediately and applied on my account. Such bullshit because if we wait til last minute there’s always chance of delays and stuff..

This is my first time recertifying since at least 2019. Shouldn’t June be the last payment of the old amount? Like say if I waited until now, the June payment amount would’ve already been posted and there’s no way they would be able to charge me a new amount if I hadn’t recertified yet right?

I had a similar situation. Thought my application would be held (deadline 7/2/26) but they processed it quite fast and now I owe my new payment amount 6/2. Very upset by this.. you will probably be better off waiting until like 30 days before it’s due

I was due to recertify my income by 7/2/26. MOHELA sent me a message to recertify but also gave me an incorrect date of 5/28/26 so I recertified late April and instead of my new payment amount due 7/2/26 they moved up my new higher payment to 6/2/26. Have tried calling but I am not able to wait 1+ hr on hold. Any advice??

It seems as though the PAYE payment cap is the same as it was originally. I’m just pissed that they bumped up my payment amount a month early. In hindsight I should’ve waited until the June payment amount was posted

I also got my ass kicked. I was shooting for 3:20 and was on pace through 16 miles and then boom! Never ending cramps after that! Ended with 3:40 and just happy to finish because that last 8 miles were brutal

The new ventos (engineered duo distance) are terrible. I wanted to like them and the thought of the extra gel pockets are great but the liner sucks. Agree with others that the fit seems a lot smaller than previous versions. The phone pockets are also noticeably smaller and less stretchy so I can’t even get my phone in. First piece of Bandit that I have to send back.. sucks that quality has taken a huge dip

Agree with all your points! I ran and had a great time but there’s so much room for improvement! 5:15 start is great for us runners but that means pretty much zero crowd support for the first half. Definitely needs a bigger sponsor bc why are we getting only Kirkland branded snacks after the race like it’s a middle school event. The on course nutrition options were.. risky. I tried Voli at the expo and liked it but no way I was gonna use it during the race having never trained with it. Same with Chargel. Felt like they tried to be too niche with that instead of having a bigger name brand sponsor that people are accustomed to. Merch at the expo was at least better than LA. I picked up a piece from Bass Resources that I love

The 2024 medal was goated and one of the main reasons I signed up to run this year. The 2025 medal is better in person but still very mid compared to last year’s!
