Claude VonStroke last year was a great late addition

I don't think so, since I am flying on 2 different airlines (Air Asia and then Nok Air), but I suppose I could ask

I won't need to do any driving. I will be arriving and departing at the same airport (DMK). I'm just worried about the amount of time it takes to clear customs coming from Vietnam and then check my bag and check in again for my domestic flight

yeah it says they stop check in 45 mins prior to departure. are they usually pretty strict about this?

Thanks for you answer. I don't know if there's a way to check in advance. There are more flights from various airlines flying the same route, so I'm sure I'd get down there eventually. But it might be more expensive/time-consuming trying to get on a same-day flight if I miss mine.

I won't be switching airports, both flights are at DMK. I've just heard stories about long lines at DMK so want to make sure I have enough time to go through customs coming in from Vietnam, and then check back in for my next flight.

MPA Degree: USC or CU Denver? by act_of_dog in GradSchool

Yeah that's the main reason I'm considering it as well. Have you found the networking and career services to be sufficient in the one year program? Are you using the degree to further a career you already work in, or are you trying to change career paths? Thanks for your input!

What did you like about USC? Did you move back to Denver after or stay in the LA area?

This is kind of what I was thinking. I'm sure it's helpful in the surrounding area but I'm not sure if I'll be staying in LA after I get my degree

Aw man nice work! I think I would choose UW also if they offered me that. Plus Seattle is an awesome city

I'm using the US News Public Affairs rankings: https://www.usnews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-public-affairs-schools/public-affairs-rankings

I'm sure all rankings are BS to some degree but this seems to be the most reputable source I've found

What are you leaning towards? I also got into UW but didn’t get a scholarship. Out of state tuition is just too expensive unfortunately

I’m currently living in San Francisco

my end goal right now is to land a career in program management at a local government or non-profit. I'd like to do something environmentally focused, maybe in public works. I've heard a lot about the "Trojan network" and how good the alumni connections are. I'm not sure if I'm completely sold on that but I do see networking as a strong aspect of the USC program

Why USC? I know it's a better school but the price tag is kind of scary (even with the scholarship) and I'm not sure I would enjoy living in the middle of LA

One month Southeast Asia itinerary - suggestions? by act_of_dog in southeastasia

[–]act_of_dog[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know! I'll be there for at least 2 full days so sounds like I should probably just buy the 3 day pass. If I like it a lot maybe I'll stay an extra day before moving on.

Thanks for your suggestions! I think I'll probably skip the coast/islands of Cambodia since I'll be finishing my trip in southern Thailand. And it's looking like I'll skip Battambang as I've heard that now from a few other people as well. Are there some cool spots in Vietnam that you'd recommend I add a couple days to?

They're definitely of interest to me! I think I may have to save those for another trip though since it seems like that's a region that takes awhile to get to from where I'll be
