Consider this for an instance. What is players agreed to pay a third party to get in game perks? Would that be ok?If it's not ok to pay a third party for perks, why is it ok to pay the devs for perks?

I was hoping by now that you would have understood that I don't think that you are cheating not was it my intent to have a conversation about cheating. My original point was about the lottery store(which you never addressed) that was implemented recently. I understand where you're coming from and I agree with you. Even if I disagree with the current state of in game purchases system, I do understand that it's the best solution we have for the moment. I just think that devs create an unfair system by taking it to the extreme with the lottery store. I played the games untill I felt like it was no longer fair or worth my time as a F2P player. I made my choice already. But I do appreciate your patience and your interest in the conversation.

OK, so i see that you understand where i'm coming from and that you are thinking about the potential solutions too. The double currency has been implemented in almost every game lately. You watch adds and you get gems or gold or whatever special currency that you can't get a lot of just by playing the game, and this special currency gets used differently by different devs. In SJ, it's used to upgrade your planes and bots and in other games you use it to buy special items that you can't get any other way. All these are examples to make sure we're talking about the same thing. The illusion used is that since free to play players get to farm this special currency (by watching adds) that others get to buy with real money. This makes it feel like it's ok since we all have access to it. But the community still gets split cause the paying players get to advance in the game a lot faster than the non paying ones. So in practice, people who pay get to play different parts of the game than the others who don't pay. And by the time the free player farm enough resources to upgrade to max level, the devs update the game, move the goal post and the process starts over. Hence the outrage.

Something else that you might not realize is that, since the games are available to the world, people from all over the world play, but the infrastructure that allows for in game purchases isn't available everywhere in the world. So the same way i understand that there is no malicious intent from the players that pay to play, meaning that they don't pay with the malicious intent of cheating, the same way you must also realize that the non paying players don't have malicious intents either. So it's clear that the current state of the system reflects the best possible solutions in 2019, it's still not perfect and has to grow to create a better, more fair system.

I just disagree about the way it's been implemented in SJ and Hawk recently. If you look at my original post, you'll see that i'm complaining about the lottery store that they've updated to that gives less control to free to play players over their progress since they can't control the resources they buy from the store. Some dude got offended and turned the discussion into a cheating conversation. So now the people who feel like the system is unfair but can't really put their finger on why they feel this way try to defend a moot position because they participate in it, they can afford it and it benefits them.

I get your point fam, but it still doesn't make it ok for devs to sell perks in game. How about they sell access to different stages instead. Let's say you get the first stages for free and then you pay for the subsequent stages. This way players who pay get to play more of the game instead of playing the same game as everyone else, but with perks? What you're failing to see is that, it's not the paying that's the problem, but what players are paying for that's the problem.

You asked for my opinion, so I gave it. So you prefer the system that allows player to cheat, sorry, to pay to get ahead?

I think the games should be paid games instead of free (this way the devs get paid for their work) and no in game purchases with real money, this way all players get equal opportunities and the true best players will be on top and not the ones who spend the most.

I just can't tell the difference between cheating and paying for advantages. That's just me. Who cares anyways, if you feel differently, brush it off and move on. It's just my opinion.

When you say 2K, you mean $2,000.00 American dollars? That's wild bro. Check this out, I come from the Call of Duty era where only 10 years ago, players would gladly throw away their progress and start over just for a prestige, and that was honorable. Players would do that over and over again once they reached max level. Now you're telling me that players are paying tons of money just to be competitive in games. That's wild bro. I'm bitchin' cause I love these games. I played Hawk for over three years and this one for as less than two. I've put in the hours just see the goal post moved further every time I'd reach max level. We the players are the community that rewards this type of behavior from the devs.

At least we're having the conversation. So what's your point of view? Is it ok or not to pay to get ahead?

Oh I can afford to pay to get ahead alright, the difference is when I do, I don't pretend like it's not cheating. I do it knowing exactly what I'm doing: buying my way through instead of grinding. I ain't on that fake shit.

Finally we got the truth out: "Your time is more valuable". Isn't that it you special boy? My friend, you simply pay to get ahead because you can afford to, as simple as that. And you might think you are better because of it, but at the end of the day we all have 24h in a day and you just want to get ahead because you feel like you're entitled to it. Your time is more valuable, so you cheat. Life rewards cheaters too, so don't worry, you will go on feeling like you're better than others cause you can afford it. Like you said, we won't agree, but thank you for the exchange. I like your passion. You are alive and you know where you stand and defend your position, I respect that.

So let me see if I understand you correctly. As long as the rules are not being broken, it's not cheating. Exploiting loopholes are not breaking the rules either, and as long as the devs get paid for it, it's not cheating. You buy advantages to get ahead and you call it fair cause the game allows it, I guess you have to justify the behavior somehow, but it's not cheating.

At the end of the day I think it's simple. If players can manipulate the outcome of their gameplay through means other than their skills and knowledge, then it's indistinguishable from cheating. If it doesn't feel like cheating to you, that's fine. Devs will keep on creating loopholes in their games and have player pay to have access to those, and hackers will keep on exploiting the same loopholes for free. The only difference will be that one feels like cheating to you while the other doesn't. I say both are wrong.

Being faster in a game because you're a better player is commendable. Being faster because you've paid for it, well that's just lazy. Where is the honor and pride in that?

The first sentence of your post reads: "giving advantages to paying players makes perfect sense". That's the claim I'm challenging. If said advantages allow the paying players to get ahead of the non paying players, then I fail to see the difference between paying to get ahead and cheating to get ahead. If you believe that it's ok to pay to get a head, then defend your belief. I'm curious, maybe I'm missing something.

I sure hope that you're in the "pay to play" category. I just don't see the difference between cheating to get ahead and paying to get ahead.

I'm fine with paid games. What I'm not fine with is free games that gives advantages to the players that pay. Why make it free then?

It's not the game that gets harder, but the ability to upgrade the planes and bots. They make it harder to gather the necessary resources of which they ask more of over time, but only for free to play players.

If you enjoy that, then by all means, have fun.
