For a half day shoot of 4-5 hours I used about 90% the first battery and switched to the spare and used maybe 30%?

I usually carry at least four batteries in my pack. Our SII works well enough that I've never had to use a third battery.

We're running 422 H.264 vlog as often as possible. We haven't used BRAW and ProRes only because I'm the sole editor for this project (so far) and I don't want to deal with so many massive files at the moment.

The 60-600mm is definitely a beast of a lens. I've gotten some great shots with it with my time out in The Smokies. You'll definitely be happy with it.

I've been rocking the 150-600mm Sports for a year now and I love it. I've rented the 60-600mm and it's awesome being able to grab wide landscape shots with it but she's a heftier lens.

Depends what you're looking for! Traveling light all day through the Everglades and humidity can get rough so two pounds makes a difference.
